Going It All Over

Spottedstar gave the slightest nod to the ThunderClan leader, her eyes still cold. Tanglestar may not have shown any hostility, but she sure would. She wasn't planning on attacking the she-cat right then and there, but would at least acknowledge the rift between their Clans. The ShadowClan leader stepped forward and waved her tail to get the many cats' attentions.

"Cats of the Clans! We gather here tonight under the full moon and peace of StarClan. Take your seats and I'll begin."

"With newleaf at its peak, StarClan has blessed our territory with plenty of prey. No cat in ShadowClan goes to bed hungry, and we are all fit on our bounty." Spottedstar gave a little smirk, glancing over to her fine Clanmates who were clustered together with pride in her amber eyes.

She twitched her whiskers as she scanned the clearing before continuing. "ShadowClan has many things to report. We have made three new warriors- Heartcloud, Brokenflame, and Fangclaw now sit among our ranks." She paused to give the other Clans time to welcome the young cats, then swished her tail to recapture their eyes.

"We have two new apprentices as well. Blossompaw and Lavenderpaw have passed their sixth moon and now train with Phoenixpaw."

Spottedstar paused. "We did have a kit in our ranks, though. A young she-kit named Moonkit. She recently went missing, and we are sure she is no longer on our territory. We suspect she traveled over another Clan's boarders." She looked at the mass of cats, then to the two leaders behind her. "We ask if any cat has seen this grey and white she-kit on their territory. She belongs back in the ShadowClan nursery."

Tigerstorm frowned, unhappy with his response. He had been trying to spend time with his apprentice, he really had but now instead of being caught up with Blossompaw, clan responsibilities had slowed him down. He had barely said a word to Blossompaw in a moon it seemed. Yet Phoenixpaw still seemed upset with him. Maybe a new mentor for her was the solution to all of this....He sighed, nodding to the young warrior. "Ah...well okay. Thanks anyway Brokenflame. If you see her....can you tell her I wish to talk with her?"

Tanglestar stepped up after Spottedstar had finished. Her whiskered twitched giving hint at a smile. "Newleaf has been plentiful and Thunderclan is as strong as ever. Our two queens have bore kits! We have seven new kits on account of Fallingkit being taken. We also have two new apprentices Coonpaw and Fernpaw.", she purred looking over at Sunflash. Her tail tip quivered when she thought of how to word the next part of her announcements. "We have also adopted two new kits. Moonkit and Tumblekit.", she sighed thinking of her new little son. He had just been sitting in the forest waiting for Tanglestar and now look at him

Riddlehawk flicked his tail nervously besides the Highstones. He had a curious grin to his face, one that wasn't born of arrogance, but of madness. Any cat that saw him would know that. Ah, the conflicts of the clans. It made this tom happy. Happier than any hatter would ever be. Mad, this tom was. Ah yes, this tom was quite insane. Well didn't Thunderclan know how to pick em.

Say That Again

The ginger and white she-cat had been listening with a twitch in her tail-tip. But when she heard the name Moonkit, both her ears and tail stood straight up. "Moonkit?" she repeated, her eyes widening in surprise at first, but then narrowing into dangerous slits. "You mean ShadowClan's Moonkit? The one I just reported as missing?"

The fur along her neck began to bristle as her lips drew back. "I don't believe ThunderClan has the right to adopt our kit, Tanglestar," she mewed very slowly, "nor has the right to dance over that little detail. I say return her to ShadowClan tomorrow." Spottedstar was as furious that the ThunderClan leader had just announced the kit's presence in her camp as she was puzzled that she had done so. Was it just to spite her? If that was the case, the ShadowClan she-cat wasn't about to let her get away with it.

Tanglestar's eyes narrowed at the Shadowclan leader. "She has joined our clan of her own free will. She has the right to leave if she wishes, but we will not return her if she wants to stay.", she striped she-cat growled. If anything Moonkit's rightful place was in Thunderclan just like her reincarnater, Moonshine. No one was stopping the little she-cat from leaving, but no one was going to throw her out either. They had welcomed this kit with open arms knowing in their hearts that Moonshine was at work.

Right then and there, DirtFur unsheathed his claws, and bowled himself right into Tanglestar. He didn't care about the truce, she had MoonKit! She just said she wouldn't give her back, which made his heart thump with rage.

"You will give her back!"

He hissed, trying to dig his fangs into some flesh.

Return To Us Salvation

Spottedstar's lips had drawn back into a full snarl. "Of course she did! She's just a little kit, not even born into a Clan. Moonkit wouldn't know anything about loyalty or the warrior code. But ShadowClan is still where she belongs. You-" The leader was cut off when her warrior leapt up onto the great rock and bowled into the ThunderClan leader with readied claws.

"Dirtfur!" she screeched in fury, her rage now focused on the dark colored tom. What was he thinking? As much as she could have liked to have done the same, there was still StarClan's truce to think about! "Get away from her!" How was she going to get Moonkit back now? Things with Tanglestar and her Clan were bad enough... And all because of this one tom. Why did he always have to be at the seat of the problem?

Tanglestar growled furiously but didn't fight back. She wasn't going to risk Starclan's fury just because Dirtfur was attacking her. She let herself go limp and she didn't think about the pain just the joys that awaited her back at camp. "She has piccked a mother among our queens and we are not going to force her out. When she chooses to leave on her own then she will go with our blessing.", she hissed at Dirtfur. Is this what Moonshine had wanted? For Dirtfur to attack her? Even though she was under attack she knew in her heart that Mookit belonged in THunderclan, just like Moonshine.

Warrior code told Riddlehawk to take action. A little voice in his head told him not too... The tom overrode the voice, ignoring it's screams for power. He lunged towards Dirtfur, grasping him roughly by the scruff and knocking him across the head with his lame paw. If that didn't get the tom to let go, he'd go farther. "Back away, Dirtfur...." He growled through his mouthful of fur. "If you know what's good for you, you'll let go and you'll go back over there. Don't make me make this game a bit more...deadly. You know what I did to Froststorm...everyone in the forest does. If you don't let go, you'll end up like him...." he growled in the tom's ear. The massive tom held him good, no way he was writhing out of this one. Either he would let go, or try to kill Tanglestar and be killed by the tom that now held him in his large jaws. Sheer size would keep any of the other cats at bay for a little bit, if only to see what the scarred and battleworn tabby would do. After all, curiosity killed the cat.

DirtFur did get off, but when RiddleHawk attacked him, he couldn't help but try to spin around, so he could at least face RiddleHawk in the eyes. He was being held by the scruff, but then he shot upward, hoping that he would release this tom, DirtFur.

He looked at RiddleHawk and hissed.

"I'm not like FrostStorm, RiddleHawk. You've grown older as well, and everyone can tell that you changed. I will get MoonKit back, she belongs in ShadowClan, not ThunderClan!"

He bellowed, his tail lashing back and forth. He wasn't even thinking about StarClan's wrath, although the moon was probably already getting covered by the second.

Rainwing watched in shock as this happened. This could not be happening, the Gathering was supposed to be a way to settle this peacefully! He got to his feet as Riddlehawk got involved, wishing his old mentor would have a sense of control. If there was a killing at the Gathering....Starclan would not take that lightly. His eyes glanced up to the moon and saw some dark storm clouds start to surround it and he could tell Starclan was furious. His fur bristled and he could feel Starclan very close to him, thinking of only one cat that could maybe solve this. 'Moonshine....would you speak to them through me? They are acting crazy!' He thought despereately, eyes glued to the scene in front of him.

Ooc: Moonshine is welcome to speak through him to these crazy cats!

He Murders All That's Good

Ice had been watching from among the mass of RiverClan cats, and had been surprised as anyone when the ShadowClan warrior attacked the ThunderClan leader. Something about a Moonkit. The young tom didn't quite understand what it was all about, but he was all ears when he heard a very familiar name pass from the defending deputy. Froststorm. A bitterness rose in his throat like bile, and the fur along his white spine began to bristle.

Who did Riddlehawk think he was? Gloating about killing the RiverClan warrior like that. The tabby shouldn't have been able to flaunt the fact around like some sort of trophy. Personally, the pale tabby tom didn't know what he himself thought of the ghostly tom. He'd only seen him once or twice, the time when he had gone to the Moonstone with Miraclefur. He had been frightened by his eyes, the once he himself had, but colder somehow.

All he did know was that Riddlehawk was talking about his former self like he was nothing, and Ice took that to heart. Maybe Froststorm had been right, that this tabby was one the whole forest could be better off without. He didn't care that he'd killed a warrior. The apprentice wanted to fling himself at the deputy, claws outstretched, backed by his fury. But as he looked around him, the other cats seemed to be holding back from interfering. And what if Firestar got angry? She would never give him his Clan name.

Riddlehawk growled and clamped his jaws down harder before he growled more words towards the tom. "I know your not Froststorm." he said, his tail lashing back and forth. "I didn't want to hurt him. He did was he was told, what he was trained to do. I did what I was trained to do. But when he came after me, even after our clans had settled things.. that was against what any Warrior is trained to do." The strong tabby held one paw at ready to bash the tom across his brains. His single gold eye rose to the sky, the wrath of Starclan obvious. Riddlehawk knew he was safe, there was no doubt in his mind that he was safe. Starclan had plans for this very young tom still, great plans. He saw a bit of shimmering in the air. One of Starclan's Warriors was coming..........

Moonshine touched Rainwing's consciousness gently, cool water for a burn. Soothing and cool. "Let me speak, little one." she murmered to him before taking control. Her voice flowed from his maw then. "Dirtfur!" she snarled out, rather unhappy with this tom at this point in time. "You've overstepped your boundaries one too many times. First attacking myself and my sister, then attacking the LEADER of Thunderclan?! That's against EVERYTHING you were taught as an apprentice. Your old mentor is ASHAMED of what you've become." Her words were harsh towards the tom, no mercy in them at all as she...he prowled forward. Everything that had been Rainwing had melted away, even Moonshine's etheral guise had enveloped him. The small tabby tom had vanished, it seemed, leaving behind a hellish she-cat that had stars gleaming on her pelt. Finally, she melted away from his body, letting it lie there as she had gathered enough of her own spirit to keep her etheral form there. She relied on Rainwing's energy to stay here. Not much, even if she were here for centuries before she let him wake up, he'd only be a bit tired when he woke up.

"You will answer for your actions....Riddlehawk.." she said, looking to the massive tom holding him clenched in his jaws. Just one command and she knew he could and would easily snap the tom's neck. "Release him...." she said, watching as the tom dropped his much, much smaller opponent, backing away from him slowly, his fur all on end making the already large tom look almost the size of a six month old Labrador Retriever. "Dirtfur...I'm not finished with you..." she spat at the tom, her face still contorted into the same half snarl-half smile that it was whenever she appeared. "Your judgement day is coming..." She stared around at the gathering preparing to leave the young warrior's body when she noticed something odd. "Where. Are. They." She snarled out, noting Windclan's missing prescence. Oh, this clan's leader would pay. First not naming a deputy after so many moons, NOW not even showing up at a Gathering? They would hear from her DIRECTLY. "Keep your bickering to a minimum..." She grumbled at them, withdrawing from the young tom's body. If any of these leader's needed to speak with her, they'd just have to ask her in their dreams. She'd tell them there. Nowhere else.

Tanglestar's whiskers quivered and she shook with curiosity and confusion. Why was this happening. Why was Moonshine so angry with Dirtfur. So many moons ago she had claimed to love him, but now what was happening. Why was Moonnshine so cold.
