MiraclePaw saw his fur bristle, which made her take a step back. She had insulted him, in some way, and she didn't like it. She slunk down, her belly fur touching the cold ground. Her gaze moved to the ground, and sighed.

"I see.. I'm being annoying, as everyone thinks."

Her blue-green gaze moved to his Medicine Cat, and merely nodded.

"I don't know... He hasn't been himself, at least I don't think so. Not sure when SoloSpot will appear.."

She murmured.

Moonpaw sighed and turned to Mirclepaw. "So, How are you?"

She suddenly jumped up, and purred loudly.

"I'm-doing-great-what-about-you-huh-huh-huh?!"

It rolled off of her tongue like a train speeding down the tracks.

Moonpaw giggled, "I'm doing fine. The Clan is healthy and that means I'm doing a good job."

Dappledfrost smiled at the apprentices' enthusiams. "Thank StarClan for that. But we really must go in. The moon is at its peak already. Your mentors will follow if they come." She turned back to Rainpaw. "Until we reach the Moonstone, you won't be able to see where you're going, so follow my scent and stay close." With that the she-cat padded into the darkness of Mothermouth, keeping a steady pace so as not to loose the apprentices along the way.

Moonpaw nodded to the other two apprentices and padded down the tunnel.

MiraclePaw moved her feet up and down for a second, showing that she was happy to see the beautiful stone. She padded in the cave, already knowing the curves and turns, not even bothering to follow DappledFrost's scent.

Rainpaw saw how the two she-cats talked to each other and were so relaxed and dropped his head. He made them uncomfortable and he wasn't the friendliest of cats....so now he was unhappy and alone. He sighed, nodding to Dappledfrost and doing like she told him to. But he wasn't expecting just HOW dark it was....

Moonpaw was just behind him, "The Moonstone is just up ahead. The stone may or May not be lite. But don't worry about the darkness, It will be light soon enough." she whispered to Rainpaw.

Rainpaw had never felt so vulnerable in this small, dark space. He nodded, not realizing she couldn't see it for a moment before speaking up. "Alright....thanks Moonpaw." He murmured quietly, his voice showing he was grateful for the she-cat's help.

Moonpaw nodded and smiled, even if Rainpaw couldn't see.

Dappledfrost smiled to herself, glad the apprentices could get along and help one another. It will come in handy in times of trouble.

As she came to the end of the tight passageway, a brilliant blue light appeared before her. Her whiskers quivered. The moonstone! Soon the great rock was only a tail-length away, glistening brilliantly like the stars. Above her head was a hole, leading up to the heavens of Silverpelt. Then the medicine cat sat and turned her head, waiting for the apprentices to fill in.

Moonpaw smiled and gasped in awe, she had seen it before, though each visit was more beautiful than the last. She took her spot round the Moonstone.

Rainpaw followed, but he was expecting what he saw. His eyes widened as he stepped into the opening, his gaze hypnotized by the glowing stone. He barely blinked, not wanting to take his eyes off it, his expression of deeo thought and awe. He moved to beside Dappledfrost, but didn't glance away from the stone.

MiraclePaw paw purred at the stone, her favorite part of coming to the MoonStone. She saw how RainPaw stared at it in awe, which made her pad up to him. She purred, sitting down next to him.

"It's a beauty, isn't it?"
