Oakleaf looked at her to see her expression. He hoped it would be a good expression, because he didn't want to hurt her in anyway and he did explain what he thought was being beautiful meant to him be he still didn't want her to think of him a mouse brain jerk. But when he saw her smile he let out a sigh of relive.

"I'm glad to know you think of my differently than others. It means a lot that you said that. Thank you." He looked at her and just nodded not knowing what to say for the first in his life, which he should mental note to himself for the future. He looked at the smile and her face and couldn't help but feel the heat rise up in his pelt making him uncomfortable even on this cool night.

"You want to know what I think of you Oakleaf?" he barely heard Moonshadow say. He looked at her and blinked, then slowly nodding. He wanted to hear what Moonshadow had to say because personally he felt like everyone thought of him as the cat that had the best life because he could and would talk with everyone, which he could but sometimes he just want to be the one in the corner that was noticed at all.

He wait not trying to rush Moonshadow on what she was going to say and noticed that her fur looked really white now, looking up the moon was high in the sky.

She gave a small smile as Oakleaf nodded and took a deep breath. "I think that your a funny and nice cat. A lot of people like being around you even if they misunderstand you. You sometimes like to be left alone but you do enjoy the company of another cat. Your very sweet and you know exactly what to say at the right time. I like being around you, it's fun talking to you and you make me laugh." she said with another smile.

Her ears perked up as she waited for him to react. She tried her best to explain him and say what she though of him. she thought she had nailed it pretty good. She did like being around him truly, he wasn't like everyone else. He could make her laugh and said thing that wouldn't offend her.

As the moon started to move her pelt darkened just a bit and it slowly made it's way across. She looked up once more to see the moon just barely past the high point. As she glanced back down she gave a small smile and said "We should probably head back.". She stood up and shook her pelt making it puff out just a bit as she waited for Oakleaf.

Oakleaf looked at Moonshadow and smiled, and a quiet purr came from his throat and he looked at her.

"Thanks Moonshadow, I'm glad that's how you feel." he meowed. He really liked this she-cat. She was different, respectful and different for some reason the words she had said kept replaying in his head, and how she said them in her voice. He would never forget this cat for the rest of his life that was for sure.

Oakleaf sat there for a while and then looked up the moon was starting to fall from the sky. He knew that they needed to head back to camp but he didn't want too. He just wanted to sit out here but he knew that the clan would need them. Sighing he looked back at Moonshadow who was standing up.

"We should probably head back." Oakleaf heard her say and he got up and stretched his legs and back, then he shook his rusty brown fur. "Ya, you're right." He looked at her and then smiled.

"Come on lets go." he flicked his tail and slowly started padding towards camp, letting her come with if she wanted.

Moonshadow waited patiently as Oakleaf stretched and got ready to go. She watched as he walked in front of her and flicked his tail after saying "Come on lets go". She followed behind the tom in silence as they walked away from the beach a towards camp. Her own tail was dragging behind her as she began to realize how tired she was becoming. She quietly padded behind Oakleaf her blue eyes canning their surroundings.

Her ears were still perked up and her eye color was a little dull from not sleeping. She blinked a few times as her eyesight became a bit blurry but she soon began to focus again and her eye color returned to its normal ocean blue color. She followed behind as she passed a few flowers she recognized from earlier. She gave a small smile.

"We should be getting close to camp now" she mewed.

Her ear flicked and her tail was still dragging behind her sending up more clouds of dirt as they walked.

Oakleaf yawned and kept padding towards camp. He was tired but he didn't it show on how he was moving through the territory. He looked back and saw that Moonshadow was behind him dragging her tail on the ground but he just looked back forward and slowly kept padding afraid that if he stopped Moonshadow would fall over with tiredness.

They were getting closer to camp he could tell with out looking at the surroundings but he looked back and saw that Moonshadow was looking at some flowers. He looked at them not noticing them when he followed her scent but he never noticed surroundings until they were necessary.

"We should be getting close to camp now" he heard her meow, and he slowed down his pace and fell into step with her which was difficult because he thought they were already going slow but that's okay he wanted to walk next to her. He noticed the dirt coming up from her tail he shook his head.

"Is your tail really that heavy that you can't hold it up because if it is I could hold it up for you." Oakleaf flick his tail hitting her and laughed.

She giggled at his response to her tail dragging and shook her head. "I could hold it up, but that would take more energy, and I need my energy with the amount of sleep I'll be getting tonight." She said with an amused tone. She rolled her shoulders back as they continued walking releasing the tension from sitting in one position almost all night. Her tail still dragging behind her as the came upon the entrance to camp.

"Thanks for talking to me even though you really had no choice" she said with a small giggle. she picked up her tail and flicked it back and forth before running into camp and up to the den too sleep. She curled up in her nest and watched the entrance waiting for Oakleaf before falling asleep.

Oakleaf kept padding next to Moonshadow going her pace. Then he heard her say. "I could hold it up, but that would take more energy, and I need my energy with the amount of sleep I'll be getting tonight." Oakleaf just laughed, and looked at her smiling. Then said "You won't be the only one with little sleep." He sighed, knowing that they were practically at camp that the night was going to be over and he didn't want that at all.

He looked at his paws feeling the teirdness flooding over him. He blinked slowly and looked up and as that they were at the camp entrance and Moonshadow stopped. He looked at her and "Thanks for talking to me even though you really had no choice" he smiled and opened his mouth to say something but she had already ran into camp. Watching her go he padded in after her and saw her white pelt go into the warriors den.

He padded in seeing the other cats still sleeping, he was going to say something to her but then decided that it really didn't matter plus he didn't want wake any one so he just padded by not looking at her but at his nest across the den he slowly padded around other cats and when he got to his nest, he curled up and laid his head on his paws.

He was remembering everything that happened from the dream to Moonshadow asking what he thought of her. then what she thought of him he could still hear her voice when he thought of that to the end where she ran back into camp and he went to his nest. A smile grew on his face and he finally closed his green eyes and fell asleep.

Moonshadow quietly sat there as Oakleaf came into the den and carefully went to his next. She laid her head on her paws and fell asleep not wanting to waste anytime.
