Rancid was leaving the gorge. He didn't think he was coming back who knows maybe he would. It was touch and go with that loner. He was headed for Riverclan Territory. Who knew what he would run into. He thought he smelled the scent of a cat approaching when he was about to cross into truly neutral territory.

SnowFeather lashed her tail side to side, prowling in the bushes. She followed him, wondering where he would go. "You, stop." She growled, getting out of the bushes. She stood her ground, her fur bristling. "What do you think you are doing?"

Rancid didn't even look up. "I thought it was obvious I'm heading for Riverclan Territory. Where are you going twit? Since we want to be retarded today." He said in a mocking tone. He wasn't in the mood for anything today.

Snowfeather didn't really want to fight, but if it was over her clan, she would do it. "Don't be a fool.." She didn't care if he mocked her. Her tail lashed back and forth angerily, "Do you really want to hurt a cat, do you enjoy doing this?" She hissed.

"Why Yes, I do." He lied. He hid the fact that every time he stretched out a claw towards a cat it stung him deepest. Memories of being in a clan, of the warrior code. But he could never go back. there was no use thinking about what never could be. "I'm going through to Highstones so you might as well just let me go." He said

SnowFeather shook her head, rather walking towards him. She sat down next to him. She purred softly, "You don't really like it, do you? Miss your old friends?" She looked at him, knowing she might get whacked. She didn't care, she was quite curious why he does this. "Tell me, why do you do this, out of fear?" She mew'd softly.

"Fear?!" He yelped. "No the only ones that live in fear are you clan cats dear." He growled. He had nothing to fear noone bound him Starclan, Leaders noone. "all my friends are dead thank you for reminding me." He remarked coldy.

SnowFeather's tail swished side to side. She licked a paw, and swatted his ear playfully. "Come on, You aren't really that cold-hearted cat." She purred softly, "And I'd like to say I'm your friend, and if you didn't think so, you would of tried to kill me already." She looked at him, her eyes soft.

I cant let my guard down! He thought to himself but it was hard to argue with the warm-hearted nature of this cat. He looked around making sure no other lurkclan cats were near. He crouched and cuffed her on teh ear. "Your silly do you know that? Lurkclan cats dont have friends." He said reciting the words of his leader. "only bitter enemies"

SnowFeather purred softly, suddenly pouncing on his form. She pinned him down quite easily, "Heh, you aren't really big and bad as you say you are, are you?" She purred softly, being quite amused. "And I'm surprised you haven't ripped me to shreds if we were bitter enemies." She mew'd with a mocking tone. She didn't want to mock him though, she just wanted to play around. "So what do you say, friends?" She mew'd, purring softly.

"We couldnt possibly be. Lurkclan would tear me to shreds." He commented flipping her over on to her stomach him swiping at her ears playfully. "and your clan would absolutely despise you." He said his ears flicking back. "so as you see it could never be."

SnowFeather shrugged, purring. She flipped around easily, being on her back now. Her tail swayed side to side, "So?" She purred, "I wouldn't care, I'll be who I want to be. But If I have to fight you, well.. I probably would." She sighed, "But, you might be able to join my clan if you like..." She murmured.

Rancid was thinking. Hed definently fight her if forced to but he wouldnt like it. But then again he never liked fighting the clan cats. "Well lets hope we dont have to." He murmered more to himself. She mentioned joinign teh clan and his ears flew back to his head. The thoughts of Crookedheart and what she had done to him. "No thank you. The clans are better without me." He commented getting off the she-cat and starting to paste.

SnowFeather pounced on him, hitting his flank roughly. She didn't mean to, but it was a way to get him down. "Come on.. I know you actually want to." She sighed, "Is it the leader?" She murmured. She looked at him softly, "Please..?" She got off fo him, her tail tip brushing against his nose. "You seem loyal, and a great warrior." She purred softly, but quickly stopped. "I can convince her, I swear!" Her eyes pleaded with pain, not exactly wanting to argue with her leader again. Her tail lashed back and forth, she was already getting quite fond of him. She sighed, her forepaw's scuffling among eachother.

"You don't understand... Crookedstar would never accept me back into her clan." He paced. Did he even want to be in a clan? for many moons he had wandered as a loner and it had suited him. Even the thought of being in this mysterious 'Lurkclan' irked him.
