Hazelthorn was pacing nervously, Where is she? He kept thinking over and over again. She wouldn't blow me off would she?! He thought. He had been bored out of his mind and gone and asked Redfeather if she wanted to get a spot of hunting done. She had replied positively enough. But maybe she had decided to take a nap instead or something. It seemed he was going to be left to hunt on his own. He was about to leave when the familiar scent flooded his sense. "ah finally Redfeather. I thought a fox got at ya." He joked playfully with friendliness in his eyes.

She stumbled into the clearing. "Er, sorry. I started talking to Tigerpaw about an herb." Redfeather blushed. "Well, enough of that, lets go hunt." Redfeather lept away.

"No problem." Hazelthorn replied kindly. Apprentices were the future. He turned torwards the bushes. "What are you feeling today? Rabbits? Fish? Or Squirrel maybe?" He asked for thats all he smelt in the breeze.

"Rabbits, they're quite fun to chase, it gives a challenge as well." Redfeather meowed. She looked at the warrior. She shook her head and quickly darted through the deep undergrowth. What was she thinking? She scented the air for any sign of rabbit.

Hazelthorn nodded after the cat had finished talking. "Rabbits it is! He hadded with a little twitch of excitement. He loved hunting rabbits. His lithe bodies moved to follow Redfeather as she caught the scent he had previously searched for. He would let her make first kill he decided. Like any gentlecat. ha who are you trying to prove? a stray thought floated serenly through his head and he silently shook it away.

Redfeather picked up the scent of a rabbit not to far from the giant oak. She waved her tail showing for Hazelthorn to follow. They had to crawl through some thorns to come to the prey, but they found it was worth it.

Hazelthorn was pleasantly surprise. A little family of rabbits it seemed. One never had to worry about running out of rabbits because they reproduced so vastly. He couldn't help but open his mouth a little and breath in the lovely scent. "You can make the first kill." He said amiably.

Redfeather looked at Hazelthorn. She shook her head and stepped forward a bit, then another step, then another, each one placed carefully. She came to a stop, only a four foxlengths away from a young rabbit. She intently watched the rabbit while placing herself in a hunters crouch. She got as low as possible. She leaped at the rabbit, missing it a little. She gave a quick chase to the rabbit, startling the others. She lept for the rabbit once more, this time landing on it. She gave a quick bite to the neck. She turned to Hazelthorn, "You're turn."

Hazelthorn nodded a little bit with a smile on his face he crouched down into his hunters position. Time to show off man A little voice in his head said. And he was off, Foot after foot making sure not to be seen or heard he crept to where one of the larger rabbits was now munching on grass. He slid between the bushes silently and in no time leapt from the bushes unto the rabbits back. With a swift bite to the neck it was over. He dragged the rabbit back to Redfeather and dropped it. now what... "Erm..How are you Redfeather?" He asked meekly. you idiot!! thats what you call a move?!

Redfeather tilted her head. What is he doing? Is he showing off, for me? No, thats not it Redfeather... Redfeather thought to herself. She grabbed her rabbit and started to drag it off, though she felt like she had to stay. What are you doing Redfeather?

Hazelthorn had finally got back to where she was. Or at least she had been. He looked around and saw her dragging her rabbit away. great you have her running away now... He hung his head a little in defeat. "Well I guess if your gunna go back to camp..." He didnt even know what to put to finish that sentence... But she was leaving and she was leaving fast.

"Did you need something?" Redfeather said. Hazelthorn seemed to be doing something. Wait, I know what he's doing! Redfeather knew it, and she liked it. She stopped and turned around, her eyes bright.

Hazelthorn looked away quickly with shy-ness. "erm.. well I just thought...nevermind...I guess I'll see you back at camp then?" He said his tail lashing back and forth as to punish him. Where else would she be idiot?! "Unless you would like to have a quick snack right now?"

"Hmm, sure Hazelthorn, we'll need energy to haul a rabbit back to camp." Redfeather said. She came to sit down next to him, her tail putting a slight touch to his shoulder.

A thrill of excitement went though Hazelthorn. She had said yes! He threw his rabbit in front of them and set to take a bit out of it with his sharp teeth when he felt a light touch on his shoulder. He looked and noticed it was Redfeathers tail. If cats could smile you would find teh largest brightest on Hazelthorn.
