She had just come from a battle feeling week scratches and blood covered her body. She was two tail lengths away from the edge of the gorge. And her mind was filling with questions 'Will i ever be happy' thought Tigerfrost as she looked at the edge of the gorge. 'sigh , maybe not maybe this wasn't the right life for me' she crept closer to the edge 'oh starclan what shall i do' thought Tigerfrost as she looked up at the sky. A gush of wind blew in to her fur and she closed her eyes breathing in all the scents the wind carried. Sadness fill through her as she layed down and curled into a ball.

Minnow appeared from a rock close to the edge. She saw Tigerfrost and growled, "What are you doing here?" she wasn't usually this hostile but the entrance to the cave was just behind the boulder and inside the den there were six kits and a blind mother that needed protecting.

Tigerfrost herd a voise come from behind she turned her head and stared sadlly at the she-cat and mewed " Life has given me so much yet I feel as though I am alone an It all means nothing, In my heart I am alone with no one and wish to jump off this gorge and let my troubles melt away as I fall". She sat up and stared back at the edge of the cliff.

Minnow turned away, "I'm sorry. Most cats around here, well you've gotta stand your ground." She padded up to the she-cat. "You have your clan!"

"Yet what good is a clan when you can't really trust anyone inside or out?"wisspered Tigerfrost. a drop of blood came from a scratch above her eye that had opened a bit. "see I have more pain that shows than my friends" mewed Tigerfrost closing her eyes.

"You can't livbe in the hurt. Living in the hurt just hurts more. Live in the light!" she purred. Looking to the sky.

"Yet to live in the light after a fight is no good" wisspered tigerfrost "I can't forgive myself and I feel that I must not live anymore so I can here"

Minnow thought for a moment "Follow me." she murmured. "Maybe I have something that can lift your spirits." she then turned around and padded to the hidden cave entrance. "Come on'!"

Tigerfrost had her doubts that this would make her happy but she got up and followed her inside the cave. This was her first time in a cave but it reminded her of a sleeping den.

As they followed the ridge it was only a tail length to walk. They padded down the slope until the pathway grew larger and there was tunnel under ground. As they went through the tunnel the cave to the cave. On one side of the cave the wall had fallen and you could see the gouge. (Like a window, but half the wall.) On the other side there was another tunnel that led up wards. It was the quickest escape, but was blocked so the kits couldn't run away. the den was about twelve fox-lengths in width and seven fox lengths from the 'window' and the very back. The back was pitch black of coarse. But in the sunlight there was a black and white cat resting with her eyes closed while six kits played joyfully.

Venus looked over, she opened her eyes but she saw nothing. They were blank. "Minnow. What do you need."

Minnow looked down, "Nothing." She looked back. "This is Venus, my sister. She used to see. But our other sister blinded her. Our sister Leo. She then gave her the name Eyes. She was miserable. She felt worse than you did. But then she met Clear. He helped her learn to hunt, fight, love. They became mates and he gave her real name again. She has never been happier. These are their kits."

"thats awsome but I don't have anyone, if I did I would probobly be happy too but if I don't it must be what starclan wants" She mewed starring down at her paws.

Minnow sighed, "Thats not the point. There is something around the corner for you. For all our sorrows. Just... Just be patient. If Venus killed herslef Clear would have no mate, I'd be at the mercy of Leo's claws and these kits would have never been born."
