Venus paced back in forth from the cave. Her eyes closed, but like it made any difference. She was waiting for her mate. She couldn't do anything else until her love was spoken to.

Clear padded in, looking at Venus. His head tilted.

"Why you pacing?"

He walked up, and sat down infront of her.

Venus bounded over to him. "I... I th.... I think we are going to have kits!" she mewed.

Clear's eyes widened, filled with joy. He suddenly stood up, and started dashing around her.

Venus purred and nuzzled him. In her life this is what she wanted. A wonderful mate that understood her and loved her and kits. She hoped that it would last forever. This moment. But she knew every cat that she loved, admired, cared about, was indanger of Leo. She knew Clear would protect her and her kits. But is it possible that he couldn't protect all of them? "They will be wonderful kits!" she purred. "I wish I could see them..."
