Six kits and a New mother. (OPEN, KITS, TAGRAFI)

Shadow was sleeping soundly in her perfect nest made of a Bramble bush. Her nest was lined with moss and a flower that she had been taught would make the nest softer. She had learned it in her travels.

She felt a kick and she knew it had come. Her kits were coming. Several herbs she had collected earlier laid uselessly as she gaped in pain. Soon as the ordeal was over she ate them quickly then couldn't help but purr at her six little kits. She had oddly two sets of kits with the same eye color and shape. But their fur was rather different.

She named them with the feelings she had towards their father-One set of 'Twins' Was Shattered and Heart. They were both orange and black. One was a tom, the other a she-cat.

She named one black Tom Tears, and one Black She-cat Fang.

She then named her other set of twins, that were both toms, Blood-The Black, and Claw, The White.

Shattered, Heart, Tears, Fang Blood and Claw.

Shadow sighed and cried a little bit.

For the past little while Tagrafi had stayed with shadow even when she didn't want him there. He had made up his mind that even if she didn't love or like him he would stay by her side. Weather she wanted to be a mother or not now she had no choice. He would stay if she wanted him there or not he was going to put in 110% for the kits for it was his own fault, and in his hopping mind he wished that mabey she would start to like him.....but he could only wish...

Shadow paid no attention to Tagrafi. But they had his blood too and she could not deny them to him. The kits suckled her while she gently stroked them with her tail.

Tagrafi sat there quietly outside her den waitting. After a while he walked in "h-hello um...shadow"whisspered Tagrafi but he stummbled on hello, he sat there paicently shifting his paws. His eyes where filled with a low soft sadness.....a miled dipretion...and a small flaire of hope that didn't seem to want to let go....he looked from her to the kits then back to her unsure of what he should say.........

Shadow didn't look at him. "I don't love you." she said, petting Heart, who was mewling loudly. "But I cannot deny you your kin. So I wont shoo you away."

"I know this....if it helps you...then please know I sleep outside under the stars hopping to die.."whisspered Tagrafi manly to himself but not trying to let tears slip from his eyes.

The black little tom-kit let out a mew when he was freed from his mother. He walked over to Shadow, more like crawled, following the 'scent of milk'. He let out another loud mew, his lips soon finding a place to suckle, his paws kneading on her stomach as he did so.

As Shattered suckled at his mother's belly, a new scent slowly came to his nose. It was not the milky scent of his mother, although it was similar to that of his five squirming siblings, who he could only scent, not yet see. Strangely, as soon as it hit him, cold, bad feelings started coming from his mother. The little tom got the sense that this new sense was not welcomed. Bad... Bad, bad scent. Bad. The orange and black kit dislodged himself from his mother's belly and started mewing angrily, loudly, at where he though the smell was coming from. Bad scent, bad!

Tagrafi was a bit shocked at the kits frantik mewing "I see I am not welcome....so then let thy soul burn to ashes as I die slowly in a river for I will leavewhisspered Tagrfi as he turned and ran out, he ran so far out into the forest that he had come to a unfamilliyare place with a pond....' this is it..this is the time and place I choose to die it was stupied for me to think anything of my life' thought Tagrafi angerly to himself the hope had stayed in his eyes...the dipretion combinded with the sadness he took a breth of air and put his head under the water and watched as things slowly stared to blure......

A beautiful amber she-cat saw him and ran for it. She grabbed his scruff tightly and tried to pull him out. They both landed with 'bump'. "Are you crazy?!" she screeched. "Are you insane? Doing that could kill you!"

Tagrafi lay there on his side looking at the she-cat with sadness and the where the flare of hope was had not died. "that was why I had done that..to die....I've done something teribble but you probobly turn your head the other way if I was to tell you for it is a awfull thing I did"mewed Tagrafi clossing his eyes and letting tears run down his cheaks.

The young she-cat shook her head and shook her perfect fur that was laced with glittering water drops. "You couldn't have done anything that was THAT bad!" she said.

He slightly opened his eyes....He pulled him so that he was on his head was on his front paws "Then what do you say if I were to tell you what happend..." He looked up at her "I fored a cat to breed...she doesn't love me.....now kits are born....and they hate me....so I must perish in pain and suffer for what I have done......mewed Tagrafi he looked back waitting for her reaction to see if she would turn away..."Now if I could turn back time I would never have done it"

The she-cat's eyes filled with sympathy and she patted him with her tail. "You kits are just kits! They will grow to love you! And now that she-cat has a litter of cute kittens!"
