The little she-kit was having hard in the mud, but she kept her chin up high. Her little paws slid awkwardly in the mud, making her fall a few times, giving her white fur dirty.

Her orange and black fur made no difference really in the mud, but they were still a bit muddy, and stuck to her scrawny body.

Her gaze stared forward, trying to be strong, but soon, she got stuck, which made her yowl.

Shadowpelt had been wandering around her territory when she smelled a cat, she-kit that is. She followed it until she found the scrap. "Who are you? What is your name?" she said through the she-kits fur as she dragged her to a dry spot a little way off."

The she-kit stared at the newcommer, her eyes sparking in disappointment. She was hoping for her father. She shouldn't even be near this cat, she didn't know her.

"I'm Flora!"

She squeaked.

Shadow dropped her gently on a grassy spot. "Where are your parents Flora?" she asked kindly.

Her small jaws openned slightly, but then closed. She didn't know where they were, nor did she know the way home.

"I-I don't know. But I will find them, I know I will!"

Shadowpelt nodded, "Do you know where you live little one?" she asked softly.

The she-kit's eyes narrowed, and stared harshly at the she-cat.

"Of course! I was finding my siblings, but I forgot the way where the "prison" was. We got kitnapped, and we stayed there. Until Me and my sister, Dite, escaped. It was my idea of course. I was going to get the others, but my family didn't think I could do it!"

She let out a snarl.

"It made me angry, and it makes me shake with fury just thinking about it!"

Shadow laid her tail o her shoulders, "Lets go find your parents little one." she said. "If any other ShadowClan cat found your here they would waste your time taking you to the camp. Come with me and we'll find your parents." she said.

The she-kit's ears folded back against her head, and let out a mrrow of laughter.

"I can do it! I might get stuck, but I can do it!"

Her ears unfolded and flicked a bit.

"I'm not a useless piece of scrap!"

She turned, lifting her tail high in the air.

Shadowpelt nodded, "I know, but I can pick you up so you don't get stuck. It will only waste your time or even kill you!" she said more firmly this time. "It is my job as a ShadowClan Warrior to at least escort you to the border."

The multi-colored she-kit glared up at her.

"It isn't your duty at all!"

She snapped.

"I am not a useless piece of scrap! You are acting like my family!"

"Not that you can't protect yourself, see these cats don't like trespassers on their territory. No other cat but ShadowClan cats are allowed in these forests. Because ShadowClan cats are insecure of all other cats. So I have to." She sighed, "unfortunately either that or I have to forcibly take you out."

"I will travel here if I want!"

She puffed. She puffed her chest out, staring up at her.

"I am strong! I can take care of myself!"

She stomped on past her, but it only made her stuck in the mud once again.

Shadowpelt shook her head, "StarClan forgive me." she said under her breath she scooped up the kit n her jaws and tore across the march, staying thin the frozen part and dry parts only.
