Moonlight walked alone along the river side. She had gotten into a depression that hadn't seemed to be getting any better at all. She sat up on a ledge that hung over the calm part of the river and layed down. She looked down into the water seeing not her reflection but Ice's reflection happiness flooded her but when she looked up and around her he wasn't there. She looked down again but to see herself and her heart sank. "why do I even care? he wasn't even my kit.." she mewed to herself wishing that the image of him could come back just for a few more minutes....

Daisy the ragdoll was prancing around, when she saw a she-cat, who looked utterly depressed. She blinked, and hopped over.

"What's wrong?"

She asked, her head slightly tilting.

Moonlight looked to her "Its some one close has left me...he was like my own kin but he wasn't..." she mewed tucking her paws under her fur. "See I took in this kit his name was Ice..I found him and his friend by the river around winter on our territory and told him about clan life and he joined with Bluejay the other kit..he stayed for quite some time then I came back and he wasn't there..." she mewed as silent tears started to roll down her face then she turned and looked at the new she-cat "the thing is he never even said goodbye..." she mewed as the pain clawed at her heart and gut.

Daisy blinked once, and smiled.

"Don't be sad, maybe he went off on an adventure, or maybe he got noticed at the last minute, and had to go right away! He could be saving the clan for all you know, he might be doing something real heroic!"

She purred, and licked her shoulder with a comforting stroke.

"I'm sure you will see him again."

Moonlight's heart stayed closed and falling apart "maybe but I have gotten to the point of where I see him but then he vanishes and sometimes I can hear his voice but then it fades" she mewed tears still falling down her cheeks.

Daisy blinked, her tail trailing against her side.

"It's okay, really. I promise."

She smiled rather weak, but she hoped it would help her a lot.

Moonlight smiled slightly happy to at least have someone to try and make her happy. "Thank you for trying to make me happy but you can't heal what is imposable to have fixed" she mewed looking to her paws and back down at the river and once more saw his reflection and heard his voice whisper to her 'don't cry I am right beside you...just look in your heart' he mewed and then faded away "no don't leave no not yet!" she whispered.

Daisy's ears flipped back against her head. She took a few steps back, not sure what to think or do. Oh, she was so freaked out, she really was.

"A-Are you okay? There's... no one there..."

She muttered.

Moonlight looked up not wanting him to leave "Surely you saw him! Right there in the river! b-but hes not there now..." she mewed her eyes franticly searching for his reflection in the river again but there wasn't a trace. Her ears bent back "I am telling you he was there he was!" she mewed looking up to Daisy.

Daisy shook her head, eyes widened with worry.

"N-N-No... there was no one there.."

She crouched down on the ground, her body shivering.

Moonlight looked again he was back! she didn't move her eyes from the spot "See there right there look come look!" she mewed not wanting him to let the image of her lost kit go. "He is right there" she mewed even if he wasn't truly hers he was to her anyways.

Daisy crept over, and looked in the exact spot she was looking at. She saw only water, nothing else.

Her ears flipped back to her head.

"There is NOTHING there..."

She mew'd.

"yes there is can't you?...you can't see...him" she mewed her ears bent back and she walked back till she was in the corner of two rocks. She had lost her mind for she saw heard and talked to him...but Ice was gone. It had hit her and it hit her hard.

Daisy watched her every move, and couldn't help but feel guilty.

Moonlight looked down at her paws "Its not your fault...I was the one stupid enough to think he would stay with me...I was stupid to think that a kit could even understand..." she mewed her thoughts where all around " I must leave...I will leave with my kits I will once again become a loner..my older kits Flairpelt and Crystallight may stay if they want but I must go.." she mewed getting up and leaving the clearing.
