Lily sighed, she padded up to Ice. "What is it like?" she mewed, "To be in a clan?" Her eyes shone with interest, she couldn't really remember what it was like, her past was clouded with Moonlight's pain and suffering.

Seeing The Good

Ice had kept his attention on Noche, so Lily's question took him by surprise. "Well, I can't really say much myself. I stayed there with your mother a moon ago or so, but just for a little while." He chose not to go into the details about what happened between then and now. "But while I was there, I got to live in the Clan nursery with Bluejay, who was practically my brother. We got to see the warriors come and go, put prey on the fresh-kill pile, then eat, and share tongues with each other. It's kind of like being in one big family. Every cat looks out for the others.

"And soon I'll be an apprentice of RiverClan." Ice smiled at the thought, puffing his chest out just a tad. "Then I'll get to learn how to hunt and fight like a warrior, and my name will be Icepaw, I think. I can't wait to be a warrior!"

Lily sighed, "I wish I could be a Warrior. But of course I can't, Momma left, and I..." she shook her head, "You are lucky to be a clan cat. Noche says Clan cats are horrible, but somehow it just seems right, taking care of one another, like Momma and Papa, half of her kits are not her real kin, but she still takes care of them equally." her paws shuffled awkwardly.

All The Things I've Seen

Ice blinked sympathetically. "Well, I for one don't see how the Clan cats are so bad. Sure, there's bound to be one or two fur-balls mixed in, but that could be the same for any cat. I dunno his story, but from what I've seen they're good cats." Then the pale tabby tom smiled. "Moonlight is a good cat, too. She took me and Bluejay in without hesitation the day she saw us wandering by the river. And sure, Clan life is good, but what you've got doesn't seem to bad. You have a family and a big den. And who knows? Maybe you could go back when you're older, see for yourself what its like there."

Lily nodded, "I guess, Rosekit, my twin, already left." she sighed, "Said she wanted to be a clan cat more than a loner. But I don't blame her, she gets to be a clan apprentice and learn how to hunt and fight everyday."

Separation

Ice pricked up his ears at the name. "Rosekit?" he echoed. "I heard that name back at camp. Yeah, Flairpelt mentioned that she was there, but the rest of the kits had left with Moonlight." His eyes narrowed in slight confusion. "But it's strange that she would just leave like that, even though her mother and siblings are still here. Did she hate being a loner that much?" He glanced over to Noche. They''ve been total opposites! I'd hate to see them in the same place.- there could be an all out war. Then he remembered; he was part of RiverClan, now. He had to get back soon, otherwise they might think he'd changed his mind about joining. The tom flicked his tail. "I think I have to go soon, before some cat notices I'm missing. Do you want me to give Rosekit a hello for you?"

Lily nodded, "Yes! Please tell her I miss her!" a silver tear fell down her cheek, "We will miss you, it was great to meet you too." she smiled sweetly and purred, "I hope we see you again soon, then you can tell me all about the clans!"

Ice smiled softly, flicking his ' sister's ' shoulder with his tail tip. "Hey, don't cry over it. I'll tell her that you all miss her and love her. Maybe she'll come back, or at least visit sometime soon." The tom looked back to Moonlight and the others and mewed a farewell to them as well. It was hard to leave Moonlight again, but he reminded himself that this time he could come back. He turned back to Lily and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I'll keep you posted on everything I learn," he mewed. "I'll see you later." Giving a final smile, Ice then turned and began to run softly back toward RiverClan.

"Noche I myself was once a Clan cat I know your not one for them but Ice will forever be family just like you will...get to know him and see...please for me" she asked with pleading eyes. It had taken her so long to get over him not being there and now she knew about him being back and someday when the kits where older she might go back but she would need to see how Noche would take it once he was older...but that was to be let in the future for now she would stay a loner.

"You left, that makes you different! He went back, he is a clan cat, none can be trusted!"

His fur was fluffing up even more, eyes narrowing down into slits.
