kits from Luna (open)

Luna was relaxing when she felt a kick. It was time "Zimlock! the kits!!! its time!" she mewed. After about five long painful minutes there in front of Luna were six kits. Her and Zimlock picked names and she went over them "The darkest grey is Sinamir, the lightest grey one is Meonisac, the red and white one Alamisha, the white one with leopard spots shall be Rani, The creamy-yellow shall be Arix, and the golden one shall be shade" she mewed calling them in order.

All Zimlock could do was rush over, and lay there, trying to give her comfort.

He stared at the kits in awe, they were all beautiful. Some of them had odd patterns, but the colony always did.

Rani yawned, wailing pitifully and suckling her mothers belly.

Shade curled up beside his mother's stomach. Arix sniffed around smelling the sent of milk and the sent of another cat. She followed it and bumped into the other cat and though her eyes were closed she looked up and smiled.

Zimlock nudged the little kit, Arix, back to her mother. He let out a purr.

Alamisha let out a ""cooing"" noise, and scrambled over to her mother's belly. Her red fur looked odd, along with her white markings, but that would be alright.

Meonisac moved his head swiftly from side to side, soon moving over to his mother's belly quickly. He started to suckle, kneading his paws on her mother's stomach.

Arix followed the scent back and started to suckle. Her paws on her mothers stomach

Luna purred then looked to Zimlock "there beautiful...there ours" she purred with delight. She moved her ling tail over them and and brushed it softly against them

Zimlock gulped, not sure if he wanted that. He wasn't even sure if he truly did like Luna. It has been a long time, and he has started to get to know her.. but...

Luna looked to him with worried eyes "are you ok love?" she asked. She thought that maybe she had upset him or something. She noticed that the kits where all together now sleeping and remembered that she had made a little hay bed for them all to have as there own. She got up and set each them in there own separate beds that was lined with moss for comfort. She walked back over to Zimlock once all the kits were in there beds "is there something wrong?" she asked.

Zimlock looked at Luna guility, his ears folding back against his head. He shook his head, and let out a sigh.

"I-I didn't think I could be a father."

He partially lied. He really didn't think he could be a father, but that wasn't all of it, of course. He didn't want to upset her, not at all.

She leaned against him and purred "You and I will get through it together, we will work as a team to push through the good and the bad times and no mater how much we get mad we will both help with the problem, I also believe you will make a fine father" she mewed purring at the end. She was deeply in love with him and so happy now that they had kits to enjoy days with them. She couldn't wait to see what was yet to come in there journey of life.

Zimlock sighed, and slumped downwards. His tail tip flickered, trying to avoid her gaze. He could tell that she loved him, but he still wasn't sure.

His ears perked up when Salmarine came in, her voice quite in a squeal.

"Oh my!"

Zimlock's fur felt hot with embarrassment, but Salmarine was nosing the kits, seeing if they were okay. Oh, they were, and she knew, she just really wanted to nose them gently.

"They are beautiful.."

She murmured to herself.

Luna walked over nudging her friend lightly then looked to her kits "Thank you, hey would your kits like to see them?" she asked curious for she had asked them before and they were very excited about there arrival. Luna looked to Salmarine and smiled "and since your one of my closest friends well actually beside Zimlock over there you are my closest friend I would like to ask if anything were to ever happen to me could you take in my kits? I ask this because I trust you and you have experience being a mother..and I personaly consider you there aunty " she mewed smiling.

Salmarine's ears flickered. She glanced at Luna, and let out a soft purr.

"I'll be right back."

She left for a second, but when she returned, Inaquix was there.

Inaquix stared in awe, and looked at the kits.

"Oh of course I would take them in. Although, I doubt anything bad would happen!"

She purred.

Zimlock sighed, and looked away. Salmarine noticed his reactions, but said nothing of it.

Luna watched as Salmarine left then came back with her kits. Luna smiled as Inaquix watched them sleep. She then turned back to Salmarine "I doubt anything bad will happen I just wanted to be sure just in case anything ever did she mewed.Luna faced Zimlock and sighed she didn't think he told her all of what was really on his mind which bothered her.

Inaquix stared at them, a purring erupting from her throat.

"When can I play with them?"

Salmarine placed her paw on her daughter's shoulder.

"Not for some time."

After she said that, Inaquix got a bit upset.

Salmarine glanced at Luna, and smiled gently.

"I'm glad you trust me."

Zimlock forced himself up.

"I'm going to get some fresh air."

He mumbled to himself, slowly padding out of the place.
