Shadwstreak smiled after Rachel finished speaking. Sakura was beginning to get on his nerves as well and he found it amusing what the two she-cats were saying about his, er, friend...
"No, no. It wouldn't be wise to leave now. Your the one who gathered us here, so you should be here. You are going to be our future leader, so why not practice now?"
He turned around at the sound of another cat's voice and saw a dark brown tabby tom. "Good evening. I am Shadowstreak." The black tom's tail twitched impatiently at the newcomer's comment. "We're waiting for more to come right now. Care to join us?"
"Sure, but I think maybe someone else should go, too?" her ears flicked with unease. She didn't want to go with Sakura, and she knew that Rachel knew that part. Then again, if she left with ShadowStreak... what would happen? Oh no... And if she went with Rachel, that wouldn't be right, the leader has to be there to BEGIN the meeting.
"I'll just go with ShadowStreak. I mean, if he wants..." she scuffled her paws, until another tom came by.
Daisy spun her head around, and blinked. She couldn't help but giggle, but that all stopped when a few other cats swarmed in. The thing was, it almost looked like they would... well... ATTACK.
There was... 1...2...3...4...5?! no... there was more than that.... there was maybe 9... maybe 10.. or 11... or 12! There was too many to count!!!
A few looked harmless, mostly because they looked like kits, but this wasn't good. There was a large one, who was black in color. He was covered in scars-- on his face, side, and oh no... he was missing a tail! Did he lose that in battle? She couldn't help but have fear-scent traveling off of her.
Another one was missing a tail as well, but he looked... more friendly. He wasn't so scarred up. They might be friendly, but she was so unsure...
Wait a minute... a few were missing tails. One-- who was a she-cat, had unusual markings. She almost looked like a leopard. It was very... unusual. A few others looked almost identical to that. It... it just scared her.
"Oh... my..." she couldn't help but take a few steps back, which soon she ended up closer to ShadowStreak, almost having her flank touching his, "Rachel..? I hope they are here to join!"
--
All ten cats stopped and sat down. All in a row. It looked as if they... well, organized this. They probably met up a while back, and heard about it near the same time. And, it was true. About three were... well, kits. Almost. And they were closer to the middle. They looked so eager.
The first one to speak, was the first cat that Daisy saw. The black tom with really long fur, but it was a bit ragged. He did have a lot of scars on his body, due to the gray tom, Clear, who isn't in this crew. He might be later on, depending if the blind tom could find his way. Even then, he would be fighting with him, he dislikes him very much.
He took a few steps forward, and dipped his head, "If this is what I think it is, the meeting with the new gang, then we would like to join. I'll introduce everyone..."
He turned around, and took his step towards the first cat in line. He was black in color, and he looked just like the tom who was about to introduce him. The only difference is that he wasn't long-haired, and less scars(not to mention he has a tail...). And he hated clan cats with a passion.
"This is Noche."
After the tom spoke, Noche dipped his head, his ears flicking a bit. He looked young to, you gotta put that into consideration. He was old enough to be about an apprentice. He wasn't quite sure if he would like the gang, but he would try to join. He can't live on his own, not yet at least.
The black tom took a few steps to the right, introducing the next cat. Now this cat... well, it wasn't a cat. It was... a kit. White in color, with solid black ears. That's all. She was shivering with excitement, for she lived alone almost all her life, ever since her... friend disappeared... Truth was, he left and went to a clan. Sigh.
"Gossamer."
Gossamer couldn't help but squeak with joy while the tom went to the next cat. She looked much older, and was yellow in color. It was the she-cat that looked unusual. She was actually more golden than yellow, but gold can be a yellow color, right? She had leopard markings, and her blue eyes were rather large. Her nose were pink, while extra tufts of black fur came off the ends of her ears.
"Salmarine"
Salmarine nodded appreciatingly, "I hope I could make you proud."
The black tom laughed, and went to the next cat. He was black and white in color, and had no tail. He was a japanese bobtail to be exact. At the moment, with embarrassment, he had his ears rather flat. His yellow eyes were curious though, which almost blew off the whole scared look.
"Yakkai"
Yakkai coughed a bit, and looked away in an embarrassing way. He was unsure what to say or do.
The big black tom moved over to the next cat, who was brown in color. She had the same pattern as Salmarine, a leopard-ish pattern. She, indeed, had no tail either. Another odd breed. She wasn't like most either... You'll see why later on.
"This is one of Salmarine's kids, Inaquix." he snorted at the end of that, which soon led the other she-cat to do so as well.
He moved to the next cat, who was black in color. The she-cat had green eyes that just sparked with curiousity. She obviously wasn't very sure of what to do, "This is Xelenia."
She just dipped her head while the tom went to the next cat, who was black in color. He looked identical to Noche, since they were both short-haired, had a black tail, and green eyes. Thing was, they were not siblings.
"Aradox."
Aradox politely dipped his head, while the larger tom went to the next kit. She was a light pale brown tabby, almost looking identical to Rachel.
"Apple Blossom."
Apple Blossom was calm. She just sat there. She wasn't excited. She was just... emotionless, which is odd for a kit.
The larger tom went to the next kit, who was black in color as well, but had a gray stripe running straight down her back.
"Alamisha."
The black tom then turned around to face them, "And I'm, Cicatrice. And if you are making the gang, I would love to be the cat in charge of healing herbs."
-
Daisy noticed he did not introduce everyone. Why is that? Did he forget? No... that couldn't be it.
A young calico and tabby tom-kit padded into the clearing. A familiar scent was in the air but he sat down, his gaze focused on the she-cat before him. "Bluejay."
This was said by the silvery she-cat by his side. She was long, lithe, and beautiful. Her blue eyes were in stark contrast to his purple ones. She looked at the she-cat before her. "And I'm Ariska." She said, her persuasive and suave voice purring from her smoothly. That's when the little tom kit looked at the young she-kit that was within the group that was in a line.
"GOSSY!" He meowed, racing over and barreling into her. "Gossy, Gossy, Gossy." He purred, rubbing his head up under her chin. He was purring loudly, happy to see his sister after not having seen her in a few moons.
"Hm... Alright. Shadowstreak's right. I can't go, I have to look after whoever's staying behind." Rachel listened as Daisy continued. "I'm sure that will be fine. That is, if it's all right with Shadowstreak."
The pale tabby looked past the two to see a swarm of cats entering the alley way where they were at. "I hope they're here to join to..."
As the large tom finished speaking, she seemed lost for words. "Um, yes, I am Rachel. You...all want to join? Very well then. This is Daisy, that is Shadowstreak, and the cat way over there is Sakura."
Gossamer was scanning between the four cats before her. Rachel looked like an okay leader. I mean, she was the leader right?
Daisy didn't look like much. She looked like a nursing queen. Was she?
Shadowstreak... he looked like a valuable fighter. He seemed okay to her. For a little while, at least.
Then her eyes went to Sakura. She looked snobby. But, maybe she had a sweet side. Who knew?
Before she could even do anything else, she was pounced on by her lost friend.
"BlueJay!!!" she gasped. She couldn't believe it!
"I've missed you so!" she cheered, rubbing her muzzle against his fur.
-
Cicatrice looked like the leader of all the cats that he brought since he even took a few steps towards the other cats.
"So. You don't mind if I am the cat who is in charge of herbs and whatnot?" His ear flicked, while he waited for an answer. All the other cats didn't move. It was like they were waiting for a signal.
"I hope you don't mind one more?" a light voice called out from the shadows of the alleys. The darkness of the place had difficulty concealing the new she-cat completely, as it was pure white, just tinged to a faint grey in the dark light of the stormclouds and the high walls around them. Her eyes seemed to have the same problem- they too were bright with intellegence, and such a light color of green, too. In fact, the she-cat seemed to hardly belong in the shadows of the alley. But that was only what was revealed on the outside.
Clover padded on until she stood amidst the other cats that had shown up, and sat down with them, disconcerned about what they thought. Her eyes were trained on Rachel, sitting above them all. She was trying to read this she-cat. She had heard just about everything that had been said in this little meeting, but had decided to remain at a distance until she could properly understand her. The she-cat seemed to be reaching higher than what she could. Nervousness could be seen in her eyes. But perhaps there was a stronger cat underneath it all. Clover could only hope so. But for now, she curled her tail around her paws and just looked up at Rachel. "My name's Clover. Don't mind my intrustion."
"Of course not," Rachel said. "Any cat is welcome here." She tried to swallow the lump that was forming in the back of her throat. Silence hung over them as she tried to find the right words to say.
Here we go...
"As you might know, I've called you all here tonight to gather members for my gang. Living alone is dangerous places like the twoleg place would be foolish-so why not band together? With a large group of cats, we will be able to overcome anything that comes our way!"
Except for another gang...
Rachel bit back the comment. There was way she was going to show weakness.
"I shall lead that new gang with two second in commands and someone to take care of healing herbs. We'll have two groups for cats that are fit to fight-protectors and fighters. The protectors will guard the camp while the fighters will go out and fight the threat. She-cats expecting or that have kits will have their own group, as well as a group for cats to elderly to fight or hunt."
She looked at the night sky. "The road ahead is dark and dangerous... But together, we can make it through anything! Now, who's with me?"
*~*
"I am!"
A weak voice from the back of the crowd called. Simba called out, "I'll join your new gang!"

Shadowstreak looked at Daisy who seemed to be getting closer to him. He smiled warmly at her and rested his tail gently on her shoulder.
"Don't worry. I won't let anything bad happen to you," he said in a smooth voice.
It seemed to the jet black tom that the she-cat was getting less... figety...
That's good, he thought.
"I'll join, as well!" he cried, leaping to his paws. He looked at Sakura. "And I'm sure I can say the same for her," he said, flicking his tail toward the light brown tabby.
---
Sakura's eyes narrowed. She sighed before saying, "Fine, I'll join you and your little gang." She shot Rachel a glare. "But I better not be disappointed!"
The she-cat was growing angrier by the second. Can I just get out of here?
Daisy barely noticed how close she was to ShadowStreak. When his tail lightly touched her shoulder, and she heard his smooth words, she couldn't help but jump.
"O-Oh. T-Thanks... I'm.. not much of a fighter, which is why I wanted to be the one taking care of kits..." she mumbled, staring down at her paws once more.
-
"Question," a smooth she-cat's voice spoke. It was Salmarine, one that might be defined as an elder, but it was difficult to tell. She could still fight. It was quite obvious. "Where are we going to stay? No offense, but I hope not at this... particular place."
The golden-looking she-cat slowly spoke, letting her pink nose wrinkle.
"None taken," Rachel replied. "I highly doubt we will camp here. For now, there's no definite place, but I'm sure we'll find the perfect spot in due time."
This wasn't good. Without a place to stay, these cats would be better off on their own.
Oh please, if anyone's out there, help me through this!
Salmarine continued with what she was going at. The only thing is, it would fail with her idea. Why? because the spot that they could have... well it's not in the alley's. At all. Well, she just thought of that, so... she just kept her mouth shut.
"I'm sure there is an abandoned house or something near by," she slowly spoke, letting her words roll off of her tongue.
Clover listened to Rachel's proposal with attentive ears. The sound of it was quite appealing. The structure was similar to that of Clan cats- from what she had heard of them in her time- while keeping its own distinct separation and culture. Not like we need to be exactly like them. This group doesn't seem to be looking to be a Clan. And that's a good thing. But all the same, the Clans do have some good ideas on how to run a group of cats fairly well.
Then at Rachel's call, Clover lifted her chin in agreement. "I am," she mewed simply, blinking her green eyes as she replied. She then looked around to the other cats who took up the call, trying to get a read on them. They seemed, for the most part, a good and strong group of cats. Minus a couple. But the only cat she had a distinct problem with was this Daisy-cat. Her first impression told her that she would not be of any use in regards to fighting. A dainty she-cat like that would cower in the nursery. The white she-cat narrowed her eyes in distaste.
Then as the matter of location arose from the crowd, Clover looked back up to Rachel. The other loner had a point. They would need a 'camp' of their own, one that they would be able to defend and one that would provide ample shelter and living room. But where would that be? Rachel didn't seem to know, and that made the white she-cat twitch her whiskers. But Salmarine seemed to have an idea. She looked to the golden she-cat and waited for her to complete the thought. "Are you saying that you know of such a place?" she asked the she-cat in a serene voice, tilting her head a bit.
Salmarine turned her gaze at Clover, and smiled rather gently. She dipped her head slightly in greeting, not really noticing her appearance. She just now noticed she was there. As you can tell, Salmarine isn't very observant, even if it is with speaking/talking.
"I do, but it would have to be pushed aside. It is not near the Alley's at all. More by the... Bracken River," she slowly completed.
