Another Ordinary Day?

Light paws neatly treaded over fences at the edge of the forest. From where she was, she could see the forest. The alley cat knew that within that place is where all their hardships had come from. She stared at it with her tail twitching.

Nothing much had been happening and she had to admit, she was getting kind of bored. Not to mention, Skapha and the rest had been getting pretty lazy.

Kari yawned violently and her eyes brimmed with wetness. "Doesn't anything ever happen?," she said boringly out loud.

A rustle came from the bushes and birds scattered everywhere, the tom raced out of the bushes fur on end. Claws extended, Skapha raced up the closest tree he could find only to bump accidentally into something ..of course it was the tree itself. The tom looked down to see if he could spot who he had been running from. It had been so long now since he had seen the tom and he hadn't expected him to just jump out like that. Skapha stayed still hidden in the tree...

The large striped tom shouldered his way through the shrubs... his claws dug at the ground and and ere grin was held upon his face..."here kitty.. kitty..kitty".

Leafheart was tired, and cranky. She had been having the same reoccurring dream that sent chills down her spine. It was the same seen as when Tigerfang had killed the kitty-pet, but this time there was no kitty-pet beneath Tigerfang's bloody paws, It was Skapha. And of course she couldn't bear to shut her eyes and watch her love die over and oveer. So she decided to come for a visit. She kept hidden like he had instructed her to so no enemy cat would find her. She smelled the familiar Kari and two other distinct smells that made her growl. Tigerfang and Skapha's scents together was not the mixture she wanted to find. "Kari? Skapha?", she mewed looking over towards where she scented Skapha then to where she scented Kari.

The alley cat was not the only she-cat suffering from boredom in area. Kiki had been dying from it just earlier that day. Not enough was happening in her life, not enough spilt blood on her claws. Nothing. The black and brown she-cat had been spending most of her time besides the river and the willow den. But today she had decided to follow Tigerfang out, having seen him wandering off after pawsteps had shaken her from a light sleep. The loner had planned to jump and surprise him, but the scents of the cats up ahead became much more interesting.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" Blinking her yellow eyes, the she-cat stepped out from the forest's edge and padded up beside Tigerfang, flicking his shoulders with her tail as she did so. Kiki looked from one cat to the other, easily recognizing the two alley cats from a previous, ah, encounter. The third cat, the she-cat from the Clans, she knew without a doubt. The loner flashed her a devious smirk. "So many familiar faces in one place... I'd think this is hardly a coincidence." Her eyes traveled to each cat, some distance away from herself, and finally on Skapha, trying to hide far above in the tree. She then unsheathed her long, well-tempered claws, still retaining the same sneaky smile. "Yes, come on down, won't you? We don't bite... Promise."

Kari was startled when she saw a pelt flash by into a tree a length away. Her fur stood on end as she took in the scents wafting towards her. She looked up to find Skapha clinging for dear life as if a monster was following him. As if on que, she heard the very monster stalking closer to the tree, calling for Skapha.

She stood up with fur on end as she readied herself to jump for Skapha's aid or run if he said so. The scent of Leafheart met her nose and she flicked to tail to let the she-cat know this wasn't a good time at all. It wouldn't be good if the clan cat got in the midst of this at all.

To her surprise the cat Kiki sauntered up next to Tigerfang and looked at each cat. Kari hissed in response at her gaze and comment. Her claws crushed to wood under them as she held onto the fence and as she readied herself to spring any moment. "Sir, what are your orders?," she called towards Skapha, her eyes still on the female and male cat on the grass.

Leafheart rolled her eyes. Tigerfang and Kiki had a weird act at showing up whenever she felt like visiting Skapha. It was like they planned each and every encounter to make her miserable. Leafheart had left Kiki alone why couldn't Tigerfang respect her boundaries and leave the alley cats alone. "Skapha.", she asked warily seeing the tom on edge. What did Tigerfang have that put so much terror into the poor alley cat leader. She kept her eyes on the tree ignoring the twitch from Kari's tail, she almost let a giggle slip through her lips when Kiki said 'We Don't Bite....Promise.' What lies, If Skapha was smart he would block out the trecherous webs this she-cat spun.

Skapha looked to Kari speechless, he didn't know what to do. Only him and Tigerfang knew the connection it seemed, that was between them of what made Skapha feel so terrified of Tigerfang. Skapha had hoped to never really see the tom again after the first major incident that he and him had. The incident happened many moons ago... Skapha hadn't told anyone about what had happened to him for he had never wanted it to come up again..sadly his past that he had put behind reared its ugly face once again.

Leafheart prickled when Skapha looked towards Kari not her. Her fur fluffed up and a low hoarse growl went out of her throat. Things were just starting to piece back together for her when it had to be all jumbled up again. She had come wanting to talk to Skapha about her dream and to try to figure out how to help him. But the speechless look pointed towards Kari confused Leafheart. She had always taken Skapha as the brave leader who would never show fear ti his followers, but he was so timid and Tigerfang so cruel.

Kiki looked towards Kari and flicked her tail about. "If were smart enough, you'd know what to do without orders from this flea-bag of a coward." The black and brown she-cat flickered her yellow eyes from Kari, to Skapha, and then back to Kari again. "He's obviously incapable of actually leading cats. Or even facing them. Now, what you should do is run. Go ahead. I've been itching for a good chase." The loner flexed her claws eagerly, a smile on her face. "Go ahead. Entertain me."

Kari could easily feel that Skapha was afraid as it verberated through the air. The question she had made was merely to show respect towards her leader, but she had given the chance for him to act as well. It clearly wasn't happening.

Kiki then began to taunt and Kari ignored her gibe. That she-cat was really stupid in her book to be taunting cats she didn't even know that well. A wicked smile played upon Kari's face as she finally met the gaze of Kiki. "Tigerfang seems to not lead well either if he can't even shut you up for one second," she laughed.

She shook her tail to show Leafheart that she should run while she had the chance. Kari had an instant idea, but kept her gaze on the two threats. "Leafheart make yourself useful and find us some cats who know where food is. I'm going to be starving after this is over," she meowed. If Leafheart got the message to find the others, they would be saved from a really ugly situation for sure. If the clan-cat was too stupid to understand, Kari would just have to try her best.

Leafheart shook her head. "I won't leave you to be attacked by Kiki. I am not going anywhere.", she hissed. She had gotten the message and she didn't doubt that Kiki had understood as well, and she wasn't going to turn her back and call for help. If Kiki attacked she would be ready to fight alongside the alley cats and protect them for being dominated from some sadistic rogues that had no self control.

Kiki narrowed her eyes at the alley cat's comment, baring her fangs a little, but still npt very offended by the provoking jab. "I don't have a leader. That's for Clan cats and, well, your kind, obviously." Then she noticed the quick gesture Kari made with her tail. It was easy enough to read: run. It made her laugh a little. Leafheart wasn't even going for it. "Now why bother going off running for help? I'm sure you all would be fine without any." Much to her disappointment, Kiki knew that hurting Leafheart may not settle well with Tigerfang. It that was the case, she would only be able to focus on the two alley cats. Pity. "Come on then, Kari. Show me how strong a fighter you are. Unless you're just as big of a coward as the rat up in the tree."

Skapha felt anger surge inside him.. He turned to Tigerfang " Why!? Why MUST you come back? " He hissed with rage in his voice. The tom turned and jumped out of the tree facing both of the rouges. His bone covered claws extended and his red eyes like fire glowed in the light. "I am not going to turn because of the past!"

Tigerfang's eyes glinted with satisfaction at the tom. " And I suppose you haven't told them ..? I thought you would of by now" He mewed with coolness in his voice. Tigerfang knew he would of hit a nerve in the tom with that. Tigerfang saw it as ' if he's such a grand leader his crew should know of him and his past'

Leafheart ran up next to Skapha and began to lick his chest soothingly. "Calm down love. You will be alright.", she purred trying to calm the poor tom down. "He does not have to share every bit of his past to be a good leader.", she hissed towards Tigerfang. "I bet you have not shared all of your past with anyone.", her hissed replied. She was sick of the struggle to move on from Tigerfang and yet here he was once again making things difficult. Her life felt like a roller coaster with to many ups and downs in her life. She just wanted to go back moons to be snuggled up in her den in the nursery carrying somone elses kits, not his, not Tigerfang's she wished that they had never met so that her struggle would be over.

Kari looked back towards Leafheart with a shocked expression. She turned back to the two rogues as she meowed,"Well then, be ready to fight because I have a feeling these two don't fight fair."

A hiss escaped her at Kiki's words. Kari jumped off the fence and landed a bound from the she-cat. Her tail lashed frantically to show how agitated she was. Paws behind her told her Skapha had finally come down next to her. Leafheart's pelt met her vision as she ran to comfort the tom.

At Tigerfang's jibe, she growled loudly and her claws slid out of her paws. Leafheart replied and she looked at the she-cat with a smile then turned her attention back to the two. "We don't need to know each other's past to be loyal to our friends. They will tell us only when they want too and same goes for the other. Secrets? We all have them. Trust and loyalty...that takes true bonds made of love and friendship," she yowled.

Kari took a step forward and then bended her legs, ready to spring at the two any moment.
