Crookedstar leapt out of her den and ran to the mouth of the camp. "The time has come Riverclan for us to fight for our honor. This is the last time that I will ask this question but who will fight with me for the undying honor of Riverclan?" She yowled out to the clearing waiting for the bleak number of cats that would fight alongside her.

Fireleaf bounded beside her leader, "I will Crookedstar! I hope my kits will fight along side me!" she said. Spottedpaw to excited to stop herself from fighting. Littlepaw backed away though, then she remembered her mentor, and stepped forward. "May... May I fight in revenge of my mentor's death? Please?" she asked Crookedstar.

Crookedstar nodded at the young apprentice. "You may" she said. "Even the little apprentice wants to fight in revenge for this deed done to our clan. The brave will be rewarded while the cowards will be punished."

Littlepaw nodded and padded over to her mother, pressing her fur into hers. Fireleaf licked the top of her head and purred softly to her.

Stormstrike's ears perked up at his leader's call and he stood up, shaking his fur. This was madness, they shouldn't be going into thi fight because it was just be costly for both sides. Sighing, he stepped forward and nodded. "I will go Crookedstar..." He said calmly, looking around to the others. 'I will go...but only to protect my clanmates. We need no more cats leaving us...' he thought, looking around for his mate, Dappledleaf, and thinking of her safety among the others.

Fireleaf nodded, "Thats five cats. Anyone else?" she scanned the camp.

The huge brown tabby padded towards Crookedstar. "I'll go. Now who are we going to fight?" he asked. "I don't remember any Clan doing anything to hurt us lately." he meowed. He sat and waited for more cats to show up.

Fireleaf sighed, "ThunderClan killed Froststorm, remember... Anyway, thats six cats."

NeedleHeart shouldered her way past warriors, her eyes being darker brown, filled with hatred and revenge.

"You know I will. You know I will fight, you know that better than anyone CrookedStar, and you as well, FireLeaf."

Her fur was already up, and her claws were unsheathed, making tiny holes in the ground beneath her.

"I'll fight!"

This is the night that he will prove himself, so he thinks.

"I'll go, but only to see what I can do, as in healing wise. I would probably have to defend myself as well, which is fine for now."

Her ears flickered a bit.

A surprise would of rolled into the whole clan as a she-cat shouldered her way through. This was her last chance of maybe actually being part of RiverClan again.

The white she-cat glanced up.

"I may be a loner now, but I wish to still fight for RiverClan's honor. I have heard about the death, and I just wish to help as well. If that is okay with you, of course, CrookedStar."

Her eyes were shining up in her direction, her ears flickering.

Fireleaf's eyes flickered to Snowfeather. She nodded, remembering the day she had met her while she was expecting her kits. "Yes, thats nine cats. We still need more if we are to attack the whole of ThunderClan."

Hawktalon looked up from his thoughtful gaze, recognizing that yowl. His eyes widen when he saw who it was. Snowfeather? In camp?! He got to his paws quickly, padding over to her. "What are you doing here?" He asked quietly when he reached her, before looking to Fireleaf. "I'll join in, to protect our clan even if I don't particulary agree with it.." He said, before glancing back to the white she-cat. "Why are you volunteering to fight?"

The she-cat looked at Hawktalon, and immediately nuzzled his cheek.

"I'm fighting for honor, fighting for RiverClan. I am going to prove that I am a real RiverClanner, if I am in the clan or not. I wanna prove who I really am.."

She let out a sigh.

"They always thought I wasn't loyal, when I was. They always thought nothing of me, thought that I didn't exist."

At least she thought that.

"I just wanna prove.. that I would fight for the clan, even to the death."

But deep down, she knew, she knew partially it was for HawkTalon, because he was the closest friend to her, maybe more..

Hawktalon frowned, shaking his head. "Please, not this way Snowfeather." He said gravely, not returning the gesture of affection. "This is a pointless battle, Crookedstar is not her former self!" He whispered urgently, leaning in to say it in her ear. "I don't want you back in pieces, dying for this cause is not worth it Snowfeather!" He sighed, calming down some and looking down. "I always believed you were loyal, please don't do this..."

Fireleaf shook her head, "Hawktalon, this is Snowfeather's choice to fight or not. Don't think she hasn't already thought it through. If she wishes to fight than she is more than happy to. Like Crookedstar said-'The brave will be rewarded.'

SnowFeather looked at Hawktalon, her eyes in a pleading emotion.

"HawkTalon.. I won't be in pieces.. Trust me."

She rubbed her cheek against his.

"I don't even know if I'm completely sure about this.. I'm not sure.. I'm not sure.."

She murmured, looking down. She now felt a bit ashamed, her tail slightly drooped.
