Tanglestar growl rippled through the camp. Her authority would not be challenged. "Would you rather rip Starpaw's heart out by letting her stay here. This is not a matter of Starclan this is a selfish rebellious she-cat.", she growled. The thought to run her out crossed her mind and lingered longer every time it came. Maybe they should run her out.

Dappledfrost turned her head back towards her leader, her expression blank. "No cat ever said she was staying. And, Tanglestar, I believe that this has much more to do with StarClan than what has yet to be known." She then turned away and continued toward her den. When it came to such matters, the medicine cat knew that she had right to speaking with Runningpath. If Tanglestar wasn't going to except that, the she-cat would find a way all the same.

Tanglestar sat there bristling. She looked to her warriors and hissed her orders, "When Dappledleaf has finished with her gab fest Get her off our land.", she growled knowing that they would be all to eager to run her off.

Sunflash nodded, his claws flexing eagerly. That flea-bitten she-cat had no right to be there. Even he could see that. Dappledleaf must have bees in her brain if she's actually going along with this.

RunningPath hissed. She wouldn't leave without a fight, it was her right to come here, her right to get StarPaw back. When she padded in the den with DappledLeaf, she mew'd.

"I want StarPaw back. I wouldn't attack you DappledLeaf.. but I would attack the others.. for the sake of StarPaw. It isn't just me suffering, it's the others too. CarePaw..WhisperPaw..BarkPaw, all of them. I don't think I can handle it."

Her eyes narrowed slightly, as her tail swished along the ground.

Dappledfrost dipped her head to the queen. "If I said that I knew how you felt, I would be lying. I can't know how you must be feeling, how you're taking this, as I have no kits of my own. But I can imagine." She looked up calmly at the she-cat, trying to best put the situation.

"I wish I could tell you different, but for now Starpaw must remain in ThunderClan. StarClan themselves told us this, as you would know. Cats should not go against them if they know what's good for them.

"You and your kits must be strong through this time. Starpaw will surely be missed by you all, but remember that one day he can return to you." Dappledfrost blinked. She wasn't sure if the young tom would choose that or not. He had been raised in ShadowClan by cats he considered family. But for the next six moons his paws would travel the path of a ThunderClan apprentice. He would probably make friends here as well as keep the ones of his former Clan, making that foretold decision hard for the tom.

"You will still get to see him at Gatherings, and perhaps you could meet near the border often. And you'll always be his mother- nothing can change his mind about that."

Riddlehawk heard a commotion in the camp, poking his head outside his den. Runningpath? Oh dear....He flickered his tail calmly but curiously. He padded out of the den, sitting on a log while he watched the on goings.

Starpaw had been napping in a little patch of sunlight now a sun-warmed rock when he heard his 'mother's' voice cut through the camp. He opened his shocked electric blue eyes, shrinking back a little bit. She sounded angry. She had never been angry at him, or any of her children for that matter....Actually, she scared him a little bit.

Tanglestar ran to Starpaw and licked his head. "Do you want to stay in my den until after she is gone.", she offered taking in his frightened expression. She had grown to feel like Starpaw's mother though she knew he would never adopt her as his real mother, she still felt obligated to him. She smiled at him not wanting for him to be anxious. "It's ok, don't be scared.", she purred.

Starpaw's little black ears were flattened against his head. He was still unusually small, due to malnutrition when his momma had died and he'd been abandoned for the longest time. He nodded slowly, the white flecked kitten getting up and flicking his little black tail. He stared unhappily where Runningpath had disappeared into but turned and streaked towards Tanglestar's den, the young tom sitting down in the comfortable and familiar darkness of the earth.

Tanglestar followed the tom into her den. "Will you be alright alone or do you want me to stay?", she asked hoping he would need her. Her motherly mood had only bee brought on by Starpaw's presence. But she felt that he needed her as much as she wanted him to need her. Feeling helpless was not easy for her so she assumed the position of caring for Starpaw.

RunningPath scented StarPaw, the words of DappledLeaf sucked in her mind, but she pushed it aside for now. She ran after the scent, seeing the tom pad in TangleStar's den.

She mew'd desperately.

"Starpaw...?"

She sat out the den, having respect for the leader's den.

"Starpaw..? I want to take you home.."

Dappledleaf cringed, hearing the pain in Runningpath's voice. She followed the she-cat slowly, seating herself behind the ThunderClan guest. The medicine cat flicked her tail with unease, knowing that this would most likely upset both the young tom and his adoptive mother.

RunningPath had her ears flat against her head, her tail tip twitching. This was way too much for her. She needed him back. He needed to be back.

"You have to come back.."

She choked.

Tanglestar shifted her weight so that she was in a protective stance over the apprentice. "Runningpath don't come further.", she said calmly. If Starpaw was scared of her voice, what would her being right outside do to him.

RunningPath growled.

"Don't try being his mother now, I am his mother!"

Her eyes narrowed.

"I can go near him if I want!"

She protested, taking a step further to provoke the leader.
