Crow listened intently to what the star cat had to say after he shuffled his paws. His eyes brimmed with questioning and hope at what Dappledfrost had to say. He'd be welcomed! Starclan approved and so did the leader of Shadowclan, but of the rest of the clan.... The black loner knew the answer to that one, their were doubts about him and Spottedstar. There would be more if he joined, but how could he let this opportunity pass out of his claws? It would be foolish not to accept, but then again he didn't know the first thing to actually living as a clan member.
Incoming paw steps made him look behind them. Runningpath was jostling towards them in a hurry. Crow noticed Spottedstar's slight aggravation with the she-cat, but the presence of Dappledfrost cut her off. He of course mewed a greeting, before turning his attention back towards the star cat. It was then that she went on. What she said made his hopes sort of plummet. Starclan wasn't saying anything about his relationship with Runningpath? He'd been so sure that they would, but her answer was vague enough to let him know that she knew. The answer was for them to find out on their own. After this analysis, he felt his respect grow considerably for the starry she-cat. Dappledfrost was wise and kind and he'd remember her that way. Spottedstar herself mewed agreement with the words that were offered.
By the way Spottedstar and Dappledfrost were acting, he could figure that it was about time to leave. He didn't want to go, but the world of the living held promises of a great future full of adventure and he wasn't about to let that go. "Dappledfrost, thank you. You are defiantly kinder than I imagined a member of Starclan could be. Forgive me for those illusions and thank you for your support," he meowed his thanks with puffed up fur. Crow almost looked like a kit again who was delighting in a new surprise. If only you'd tell me if my blood is in Runningpath or not. Am I a rightful clan member or just another loner?, he thought to himself. After seeing for himself what the clans were sort of like, the loner life didn't really appeal to him anymore.
His eyes looked towards Runningpath to see what she would say to this, but if she said nothing then it was time to leave for sure. Perhaps she had a question that would help this predicament. If anything, he was happy that the issue of Starclan not wanting his presence was over. He had the truth and he was happy with it.
