Welcome to Clan Cats of the Forest: FACTION! We are a literate original character
Warriors RPG. We welcome members of all ages and have a great time here at CCOTF. With friendly staff and an intriguing plot we have nowhere to go but up. Hope to see you around!
Ever since she left camp, her fur was prickled up. She didn't like traveling with these cats for she could just feel their cold-blooded stare burning right through her fox-like coat. It was rather annoying, but she would have to ignore it and continue on their journey.
Her red-orange ears were pinned down upon her triangular-cranium while her big fluffy tail was swishing side to side. Just by seeing that, you could obviously tell there was something annoying her, and that wasn't no hard answer either.
When she got to mother-mouth, she didn't even bother the other cats, she knew MoonSpirit would come, but she didn't care if the others did at all. So, she left the darkness engulf her.
She was following the easy trail that was hard to squeeze in sometimes until it gave way to a large cave where a large crystal lay.
She sat right infront of it, watching it carefully. She growled silently to herself before she laid down and touched her nose against it.
A silent alert had gone off in Dappledfrost's ears when Foxstar's presence had come to StarClan's hunting grounds. Curious, the medicine cat took from her place under a silver beech tree and padded swiftly to the clearing where the WindClan leader's living aura was coming from. She gave a
mrrow in greeting, though inwardly she felt a bit wary. She had looked through this particular she-cat's story, and had been intrigued by her lack of lives, startled by her announcing this fact to the other Clans, and horrified when she lead the attack on RiverClan and lashed out at her own medicine cat.
As she had been a medicine cat herself while she was alive, Dappledfrost was particular offended by this action. A leader should know better. But perhaps that had something to do with why Foxstar was with her now? And in any case, Moonspirit had found the ability to forgive her leader, something Dappledfrost was both surprised by and proud. Any other cat wouldn't have settled with such a bold move.
The brown she-cat kept padding closer until she was a couple tail-lengths away, then sat pleasantly in the grass with her tail curling around her paws. "Greetings, Foxstar. What brings you to StarClan?" Although she could guess.
Now, in StarClan, she was acting much differently. Her pelt seemed to be cleaner, even. Her attitude changed, and her ears were perked up. Although, on the inside, she felt as if she would explode.
"First off, I didn't quite understand why I didn't get any lives, and why my senses left. I don't think that's important no longer."
She sat down proudly, her large fluffy tail over her slender legs. She looked beautiful, there was no question about that. Although, anyone could tell that she was seeking blood-- RiverClan blood, which ruined the figure completely.
"Now, I want my lives. I want them now, for the whole clan is starting to dislike my actions. I understand their concern, but some things are better left unsaid. I can already guess that you know that I striked MoonSpirit, but I have a logical reason behind that."
Her whiskers were quivering, watching another cat come out from the shadows. It seemed to be a silver-looking she-cat. Ah, it was the she-cat who took care of her when she arrived at WindClan. SilverFire.
FoxStar dipped her head, but when she rose it once more, she was gone. Her eyes were blinking quite a bit, her ears flattening against her head. She felt as if she may of been disappointed in her, but she didn't know.
Dappledfrost listened quietly, not giving a nod of the head or a flick of an ear to betray hidden thoughts. She knew that even though she was a StarClan cat now, she could not tell everything she knew in order to help the living cats. There were plenty of things she could tell the WindClan leader, but only a select few she could reveal without telling the she-cat her life story.
The medicine cat thought over her words before speaking. "You say it's not important, but Foxstar, the fact that you did not get your lives was a very big deal. After Wavestar's disappearance, WindClan needed a leader who could overcome the troubles they faced. Having a leader who needed to show she was just as good as any even without StarClan's gift of nine lives brought them the confidence they needed. They may not have liked it, some may not have supported your leadership, but your Clan has kept together, and is strong as ever."
Her whiskers twitched at the slight presence of another StarClan cat. It was not one she was familiar with, and just as she smelt the WindClan scent mixed with stars, it was gone all together. How odd. But that wasn't important.
"You do know that just because you have nine lives, that doesn't mean your Clan is always going to be happy with your decisions?" She mewed, blinking. "There will always be those who oppose your ideas, what you think is best. And before I do anything else," she added on with the slightest touch of disproval, "I would like to hear your reasons for striking a medicine cat. As one myself, it's not something I can look over with ease."
The she-cat stared at DappledFrost with a stern stare. She wasn't sure if she should say it, then again, she was a StarClan cat.
Her ears were moving around viciously while her whiskers quivered.
"She was trying to tell me wrong, and she even threatened me; she provoked me. I didn't even mean to smack her that hard, just a warning smack, but it seemed to be more."
She wasn't going to include that she wasn't going to name a deputy, for she thought that she didn't need to. Her whiskers started to quiver once more.
Dappledfrost repressed an exasperated sigh. How brazen! Of course she would want the lives, but to demand them in such a way wasn't something the medicine cat valued. If she was to get her lives, perhaps patience would be one.
The brown she-cat blinked solemnly. "Foxstar, I can't give you nine lives on my own. That takes a good deal of energy for one. And if the others didn't want you to have your lives, I'm sure they wouldn't be happy if I didgive all your lives to you. There are certain requirements needed to give a leader lives."

She shifted one paw awkwardly while keeping her blue eyes on the orange she-cat. "And you aren't doing StarClan favors. You skipped the Gathering, for one thing, and you lashed out at your medicine cat. I can't pass unbiased judgement. I'd need other StarClan cats opinions."
She wasn't demanding them, though, at least, she didn't think she was. It was urgent, for she did need her lives no matter the cost.
"I know DappledFrost.."
She murmured softly, her ears drooped down. Truth be told, she knew she wouldn't get them. She knew.
"I just... Without them, DappledFrost, the other clans sees us as weak. I can't take that nor can my clan. They blame me for it all, which is probably true. I even planned to run off, but then when PatchedFoot died, that brought my senses back into realization. I knew I had to stay with the clan..
"
She murmured, looking back at DappledFrost.
Dappledfrost nodded in understanding. "I known, Foxstar. But perhaps you could make your Clan look stronger in other wise. Maybe appoint a new deputy to fill Patchedfoot's old place?" she suggested, knowing how the leader felt about the matter but putting the idea out there anyway. "I'm glad you have decided to stay, and have come back to your right mind, but wouldn't that help? To have that support, and a second opinion by your side? If the other Clans knew you had left the position empty, it would only put their respect for you lower and lower."
Swiftfire had followed her leader proudly to Mother Mouth. She could easily see that Foxstar was in a bad mood, but she kept only a pawstep away. Foxstar was her leader and clanmate and Swiftfire still cared deeply for her.
As they made their way to the destination, the sun slunk below the horizon and soon stars blinked. Her paws hit the stone and she looked wary as her leader went in alone. The medicine cat would probably follow, but the warrior was on edge.
Her leader was going to talk to Starclan, possibly take blame, get in trouble, try to reason with the ancestors, while she stayed here merely waiting. Swiftfire's tail itched in irritation and she couldn't help, but look at the stars, longing to talk to her ancestors.
Please, judge fairly Starclan and think of the future that you may already know!, she sent a silent prayer to them.
Dappledfrost kept her clam, gently swishing her tail for silence. "But if you were to die, what would become of WindClan? If better you that your Clanmates, you would leave them struggling in the dark. A power struggle would take hold of their minds, and the warrior code would be forgotten for the sake of leadership."
The medicine cat wished she could make the she-cat leader see sense. How could she possibly think it was good to go without a deputy? They were valuable comrades, not just the next in line for leadership over the Clan. "I can't force you to do anything, but do you see my point?"
The she-cat did calm down shortly after, her eyes focused on the ground. Her paws were scuffling among one another while she listened carefully. Her mind was swirling with ideas, with a lot of things. Who could be the deputy? She trusted no one, for no one really trusted her.
"I don't know whom to choose anyways, DappledFrost. Everyone back at camp only disagrees, they think it is the wrong choice. I understand where you come from, but I just know they won't help that much."
Her head drooped as it started to shake side to side. Then a familar scent wafted by, her old comerad, SparklePaw.
"FoxStar!"
She squealed, pouncing on FoxStar. FoxStar batted her playfully with a smile, SparklePaw bouncing beside DappledFrost, grinning.
Dappledfrost let an inward sigh of relief pass over her. The medicine cat hated tension, especially when it was aimed at her. It made her feel awkward and nervous. "You Clanmates still hold some loyalty to you. If they didn't, they would have thrown you from leadership moons ago, or disbanded to become loners and rogues. WindClan still stands. If you lead the way, their true loyalty and devotion will show through."
Her whiskers twitched at an oncoming scent, and she turned her head in time to see young Sparklepaw bound past her to tackle her Clanmate. Dappledfrost smiled. "Sparklepaw, do you have something to say?" she encouraged, flicking the little she-cat's ear with her tail.
"Okay, DappledFrost. I just don't know who to trust, at least, whom to make deputy."
FoxStar looked at SparklePaw, hoping she could say who would be good for the job.
SparklePaw just grinned.
"A fire that is swift is within, It has done it's best to serve, It has done it's best to protect, The fire that is swift is perfect."
She concluded, and looked at DappledFrost. She hoped it was okay to say that, for the obvious choice to that would be... SwiftFire. Then, she spoke in DappledFrost's ear, to where she could hear only.
"We need to give her lives, DappledFrost, at least a few!"
Dappledfrost listened to the little she-cat's and smiled softly. "You're getting better," she mewed quietly with a purr, "But perhaps a little less... Obvious next time. They need to figure some things out on their own, okay?" She flicked the young cat's ear friendly, showing that no harm had been intended.
Then the medicine cat listened again and gave a quick nod. "Yes, I suppose so," she agreed in the same quiet voice Sparklepaw had used. "It looks like just the two of us, so it might tire you out." She twitched her whiskers, then glanced back to Foxstar.
The brown she-cat certainly hoped that by giving the WindClan leader the overdue lives that the Clan would continue to improve. Mow that she rightfully would own the name of 'Foxstar'. "Foxstar, are you ready for your lives?"
