Training the Claws (Clawpaw, Open)

(((OOC: This thread takes place as Clawpaw's first training session, the day after Spottedstar brought him to the camp. Any thing that happened before that ie. The Meddie Meeting, Cederclaw ect; has not yet happened)))

Moonspirit woke up as dawn approached, she padded over to Clawpaw's nest and poked him in the side. "Wake up sleepy head!"

Clawpaw awoke from his slumber his eyes opening to sunlight that shone on his face but luckily Moonspirit had stopped the sun from directly hitting his eyes. "Good morning Moonspirit" he mewed.

"Morning, we have a busy day ahead of us." She mewed, hearing Smallpaw moaning from her nest. "Today you need to learn Smallpaw's daily medicine, since she needs it every day I thought I would teach you her treatment." she mewed, padding over to the storage place. It was a separate part of the den with cracks in the walls for storing herbs. In the left corner were piles of moss and in the right corner were large leaves for wrapping herbs.

Clawpaw got up and walked over to smallpaw. The small cream and black she-cat that lay before him now. She was small and looked fragile and it almost looked as though she was glowing. But? how does a cat glow? He asked himself.

"Clawpaw, over here!" She hissed softly, eying him carefully. "The herbs are over here."

Clawpaw started to walk towards Moonspirit but his eyes never left Smallpaw.

"Now, Clawpaw." She mewed, holding three black seeds. "These are poppy seeds. They bring down pain and help smooth dreams. Smallpaw needs two." she said, laying them in a leaf.

Clawpaw nodded as he watched as she continued on in preparing what smallpaw needed.

"Now she needs three leaves of Feverfew," she dropped three bright green leaves with the seeds. "And plenty of Catmint." She grabbed a whole mouthful of it and dropped it in. "Can you wrap it up Clawpaw?" she mewed, smiling. It wasn't that she didn't think he could do it, but wrapping herbs was essential for medicine training. "I am going to fetch some fresh-kill. Can you give Smallpaw her herbs for me? Don't eat anything!" she added, then bounded from the den.

Smallpaw had woken up at the sound of cats murmuring. "Hello Clawpaw, it is nice to finally meet you!" she purred, her voice soft and drained. Though her undying cheerful spirit could be seen through her pretty eyes.

Clawpaw smiled at her and then gathered them all together and brought them over to Smallpaw and set them down for her "Hello I will be here for quite some time" he mewed still smiling.

"I have been here for longer, My brother and sister have already grown up and got mates." she mewed, "They left me behind. Though I got a mate before either of them." her eyes gleamed in pride. "Though I can't continue my training until Moonspirit lets me out. I would be fine but she thinks I'm gonna have a relapse and drop dead on her." she sighed.

"Oh.." he mewed siting down.

"Why are you going to be a Medicine cat anyway? You can't have mates, mates are wonderful." she purred.

He smiled "Well you can have mates but you can't have kits thats all...." He mewed "Though a cat like me should have guesses that a pretty she-cat like you was already taken...but hey..well I best be off good bye and eat your herbs" he mewed with a shrug then was off.
