Welcome to Clan Cats of the Forest: FACTION! We are a literate original character
Warriors RPG. We welcome members of all ages and have a great time here at CCOTF. With friendly staff and an intriguing plot we have nowhere to go but up. Hope to see you around!
Things ran through this she-cat's mind, her mind whirling. She didn't want to run away, not yet. She wanted to see how well the clan can be with her running it. Then again, she wanted to run away, with MoonSight.
She now was holding another secret, which of course, was making her upset, because he didn't want her to tell they were mates.
He even said he would break away if someone gets suspicious. Whenever she thought of that, she wanted to break down and cry.
She doesn't know if she wants to stay, and not tell any cat that she was with MoonSight, or ask MoonSight to come with her to run away, to not have to worry about others finding them out, not having to worry about him leaving her.
Her ears pinned back against her head as she thought.
Cedarclaw had been wandering the territory, her mind repetitively going back to her apprentice laying in the medicine cat's den. I should have been paying more attention. I should have been watching out for her. My first apprentice, and I blow it in front of everyone. She had become familiar with scolding herself over the moons, relying on that to keep her motivated to do better when given the chance.
The tortoiseshell then noticed Foxstar a ways off, looking troubled. The warrior flicked her whiskers, then bounded up the hill to where her leader sat. She flicked an ear in greeting. "How are you feeling, Foxstar?"
Cedarclaw raised a brow at Foxstar's startled reaction. She knew the leader's senses were fading, along with the rest of the Clan, but she seemed more off than usual. "Really?" she asked coldly. "Do you have more secrets to keep?" The warrior didn't mean anything by it, she still didn't like how Foxstar had revealed her weakness to every cat in the Clan. How would that keep them strong, if they knew their leader was so weak?
Cedarclaw flicked her tail. "I can't say I supported your idea to tell the Clan about your... Situation. So I suppose I couldn't be angry if you were hiding something. If there was anything to learn from this mess, it was that some secrets are best kept. They just messed up WindClan anyway." She looked at Foxstar through narrowed orange eyes.
"That's because you are thinking for weaknesses, power! I'm looking for loyalty! Would a trustworthy cat keep secrets from the whole clan? No!"
Her lips curled back in a snarl.
"Just because I was not accepted, and my senses are going away, does not mean this clan is weak. Just because I am, that doesn't make the whole clan weak. It makes them go about on their toes, their senses tingling even more than usual, the apprentices wanting to train even more."
Her fur was all up, and she was standing there, staring right into her narrowed eyes.
"Who cares if it spreads to the other clans, let it! If a battle is what they want, we will give it to them!"
Her eyes turned to slits, her discission slowly being made. She must stay.
Cedarclaw returned the snarl, forgetting loyalty. "The Clan is on their toes because they know the other Clans could ruin us now! If one word gets out, a rouge could even kill you. You only have one life!" The warrior's tail lashed out behind her. "My loyalty is to WindClan, not to a weak leader who can't see a fox-length in front of her. The Clan might as well be living in fear. A weak leader leads a weak Clan. How can they fight with confidence?" Her orange eyes glowed with fury. "We warriors will flight until our last breaths. But you wouldn't stand a chance in battle!"
FoxStar's eyes narrowed, her almond shaped eyes glowing with fury.
"Are you saying you guys are better off if I just ran away?!"
She hissed, her bright orange fur raising rapidly.
"Are you saying that I am weak? Just because I can not see, hear, or smell, does not mean I am weak! I can still walk around, speak, and fight!"
Her lips curled back in another snarl, her claws unsheathing. She has had enough, CedarClaw is slowly making her decision change, into running away.
I am strong!
"I have been loyal, I have been strong. I have lived on, I have been trusting you! I have trusted all of you, only to have one of my most loyal warriors tell me that I am weak! That I stand no chance against any cat!"
She stopped, and sat down. Her big fluffy tail curled up around her paws, as her fur calmed down, and flattened. Her ears drooped, as she looked at the ground.
Cedarclaw's ears folded back. She wanted to keep on fighting. Maybe even the tiniest part of her wanted to rebel with claws ablaze. But the warrior knew she could never do it. Frustrated, the tortoiseshell growled from deep within her throat. "How would running away help anything? We'd just remember you as a coward." She had to suppress her shoulders from rolling aggressively. "Look," she mewed slowly, as if she were tired. "I've supported you this far, and as a warrior I must continue. But how can I not look at what could happen to WindClan? Everything has gone all wrong."
Foxstar's reactions brought back he heat of fury in the warrior. Her hackles rose, the fur along her spine beginning to prickle. So much for calming down. "Who said they ever had to find out? I wouldn't have told. They wouldn't have to worry." Her tail lashed out behind her, swishing through the tall grass. "The only thing that I see as your fault is telling the Clan! StarClan's the one who did this to WindClan, not you. They decided to hurt us rather than help us."
"Well, don't you think it's a bit of a disadvantage? Your senses are fading, Foxstar. Do you not understand why that's something to consider?" Her claws slid out, hooking onto the moor's soft earth. "What if an attack came from behind? You couldn't hear them, couldn't smell them, and you wouldn't see them. How would you defend yourself?"
"CedarClaw, what am I supposed to do? Would you want a leader -- Like me, lead WindClan?"
Her eyes turned to slits.
"I should run away, I should. PatchedFoot could lead the clan, and it would be much better. I wouldn't be a coward, only running away from the disadvatages in WindClan, how horrible I would lead the clan."
She muttered.
More like.. I am a coward, and Running away from my fears..
