Swiftpaw lightly hit her on the head with his tail. "I know your mentor's Badgerstep's your mentor! I'm not stupid! I just didn't know that he and Moonspirit were... uh... You know what I mean..."

Whisperpaw looked abck and forth between the two cat, shaking in fear. She could feel the anger radiating off of the them, and it sent chills along her spine, making her fur puff out. This was not good. She hated arguments, and she seemed almost in the middle of this one, yet not a part of it at all. She had no words to share in this, but here she was, listening to it. She couldn't stop a fight if it broke out. She would just have to sit there, frozen. Or, if she was lucky, run.

She was confused by what she was hearing, and just closed her eyes. Was this the truth? This could tear the clan apart if the right conditions arose. How could this be happening?

Ears pricked, Featherwish padded over to the group of apprentices. Tension was heavy in the air, but Featherwish was determined to diffuse it. "Hello!" she purred, her raccoon tail swishing happily. "Gorgeous day right?" she said with a smile and a purr. It was a rather odd sight: Featherwish grinning happily, Whisperpaw shrunken and submissive, Swiftpaw hostile, and Nightpaw frustrated.

"The fresh kill pile is getting a bit low, don't you think? Maybe we should form a hunting party!" she mewled, attempting to lift the mood.
