Little Sparrowkit padded out of the forest where she had been chasing a butterfly. In her jaws were clamped various herbs, seeds and berries, little things she had seen while she was chasing the butterflies and could let go to waste. Little things that she had thought were pretty. She padded towards the Medicine Cat's den, the curious but ever so fiesty little she-kit dropping them once she was inside. "Uhm...Moonspirit?" she mewed sofly, her eyes dropping to the floor. "I was wondering if you might want any of these. I found them while I was chasing a butterfly and I thought they looked familiar....." she continued, keeping her eyes down and tail curled round her little paws. She knew that Moonspirit had age and rank over her and showed her the respect she deserved. But oh how she was curious! She was always so curious about how Medicine Cat's did what they did. How did they know so much?

Clawpaw came in from a side entrance into where Moonspirit was. He carried with him some aloe vera, broken rosemary blossoms, and some comfrey roots. Just to help stock up on herbs, he quickly went inside and sorted the herbs into there own piles and came back out sitting beside Moonspirit. Clawpaw had defiantly grown he had his fathers hight as he towered over Moonspirit as he was beside her, he also had his fathers muscle to him and a scar that lay across his face which didn't bug him as much as it use to. He gave a nod in greeting to Sparrowkit "Hello Sparrowkit" he mewed.

Little Sparrowkit smiled and nodded to Clawpaw. "Hi Clawpaw...." The she-kit mewed. So angry and aggressive as a kit. It seemed she had mellowed out with a moon or two. By the time she was an adult she'd been calm as a cucumber.

Clawpaw layed down to rest "Quite the interesting bundle of berries and herbs you have there" he purred. He looked over the things she had brought and smiled 'She might just be the next apprentice...' he thought to himself as he looked at the eager young kit. She was full of life and learning "Do you know what the names of these are?" he asked curious to see if she knew.

"I know that this is comfrey, and that these are poppy seeds but that's it. I think that's coltsfoot..." she said, nudging a few of the plants that were laying there. Her mottled eyes looked back up at him, her little ears flickering back and forth.

Clawpaw watched her point them out "Very good Sparrowkit" He purred. He looked to the others and pointed to each as he named them. "This is burdock root it helps stop infections from rat bites and this over here this is alfalfa when chewed it helps with tooth decay" he mewed then continued on "and these berries over here are called juniper berries they help with stomach aches " he purred in delight at being able to teach her a bit.

As he was pointing the diffrent plants out to her, her entire focus was on him. Her ears were pinned forward, not even her tail twitching. She smiled a bit, as much as she could manage. She was still very very shy, not very comfortable in her very own skin.

Clawpaw looked to her "Would you ever want to be a medicine cat when your older?" he asked as she seemed to watch in amazement as he pointed out and told her what the rest of the herbs were.

Clawpaw smiled up to Moonspirit "I am hoping to get my name tonight...what do you think Moonspirit could you handle another apprentice? I will have to go back to Shadowclan anyways right after the meeting " he reminded her. Yes it would be there last day of training today and the day was almost over. He glanced back at the young kit and gave her a wink "I think you could take on such a smart young she-cat I have in mind" he purred.

Moonspirit watched fondly from her den, impressed with Clawpaw. She had been debating whether or not he was ready to become an apprentice. Well, he looked old enough, but he would have to start out in an entirely new territory with different herb spots and no mentor to correct his mistakes! He would have to be fool-proof before she could let him on his own, not to mention he started very late for a medicine cat. Usually medicine cat started out as young kits. Helping the current medicine cat in their den unofficially. But as Clawpaw talked with Sparrowkit she was sure her decision was the right one. [/color][/center][/font]

Sparrowkit smiled at Clawpaw when he winked at her. She flicked her tail and smiled at Moonspirit. She was still uncomfortable in her skin, still very shy. She was, in honesty, a sufferer from selective mutism. She could talk, it wasn't that she didn't have the ability. It was that she just got so very shy or so very nervous that she couldn't find the ability to speak.
