Now, MiracleFur noticed what was going on. She can tell the look in the tom's eyes how he felt, and she couldn't help but quiver her whiskers in interest. All she could do was look at MoonSpirit, and mutter, "And I am the one breaking rules?" but of course, only BadgerStep and MoonSpirit could hear.

"I wonder who did that to the apprentice, too, BadgerStep."

She rolled her eyes, and moved over to RosePaw, nudging her gently.

"Rosepaw!{Goldy, yers} Come on, we need to help RosePaw!{hehe}" she yowled, gripping her scruff gently.

Badgerstep tried to keep his fur flat against his pelt, but it was hard to do so. His claws had already sunk deep into the ground at her words. What was he supposed to do now? Don't make a scene, that's what. She didn't yowl it for the whole Clan to hear just now, so she may not say anything at all. How did she know, anyway? The tom kept his teeth clench together to keep from growling. He just needed to stay quiet about it.

The black and white tom raised his chin a bit. "Look, I didn't know she was an apprentice. It was the heat of battle. You may not understand this as a medicine cat, but when you're in battle you attack whoever attacks you before you look to see who it is." His eyes narrowed as she exited the den. He felt bad enough about this already. It's not as if he had meant to hurt an apprentice.

MiracleFur looked back at him once more, "Excuse me? I was the one that said don't fret, hun. You were having a fit, worried. I said heat of the battle, but no. So, just calm your little furtail," she rolled her eyes.

She gripped RosePaw's scruff once more.

NightPaw suddenly popped up beside BadgerStep, and nudged his shoulder gently with her nose.

"What are you blabbing about?" she asked.

Moonspirit's fur was ruffling, hardly even aware of the conversation between the two cats. She heard Nightpaw, turning to her. "Please! Get some more cobwebs, all of them!" she hissed through her teeth and turn back to fighting the wave of Foxstar's blood.

Rosepaw followed Miraclefur and began helping her, listening to her every word.

NightPaw nodded, but right after she did, FoxStar started to shake wildly for a few moments, before going completely still. Her eyes held nothing left in them, except maybe a twinkle of a star.

She was somewhere else now, at least, for a while she was. She was sitting alone, in a pasture. Everything was still, but Foxstar knew there was other cats near by. {{Someone who has a StarClan cat, can attend there, fi not, it's okay.}}

NightPaw came back with a pawload of cobwebs, and handed them to MoonSpirit.

"I'll barely lift her up, but when I do, do you think you can slide under and help me carry her?"

Dappledfrost had watched the battle from Silverpelt with a grim look cast over her face. It had been just a short battle, but enough harm had come in such a short amount of time. The medicine cat glanced down to Foxstar's still body. She supposed it would be a good idea to go to her in that state of limbo. The she-cat closed her eyes and allowed her body to dissolve, then reappear before Foxstar in the leader's mind.

"Foxstar, you have lost your first life." Her blue eyes were sympathetic. This leader hadn't even gotten all of her lives, whether she knew it or not. "You have fewer than most to spare. You must take great caution with every pawstep from here on out."

Badgerstep glowered after the medicine cat, his claws now retracting and sinking back into the earth with tension. What a know-it-all! It was bad enough that she knew his secret with Moonspirit, but did she have to make him look like a total fool, too?

He had been so focused on the back of the medicine cat's neck that he hadn't noticed his apprentice appear right beside him. Hearing her voice so suddenly just bout made him jump out of his fur. "Oh, nothing important," he reassured her. She's just an apprentice. Nothing to worry about. "I just don't get on with RiverClan cats all that well." The warrior put on a grim smile. It seemed like a logical enough excuse. No worries...

Stormstrike watched his leader leave, growling. He couldn't believe she just left her clan like this...after this battle was her idea! 'I guess that means it's up to me to get our clan home...good job Firestar.' He thought, sighing and shaking his head. He turned a look to his clan and to Windclan. Since Foxstar was down, he limped over to Swiftfire, deputy to deputy. "Swiftfire...I know words are not enough, but I am deeply sorry for what has happened here. It was a mistake and...not all Riverclan wished to go through with this. We'll take our injured and leave..." He said, dipping his head in deep regret and respect for the other deputy. He looked over to Miraclefur. "Please come when you can, if you need any cats to help move Rosepaw, feel free to ask of any warriors here.." He said to her, then looked around the battlefield. "Riverclan....let's go home. This is not where we belong."

Ashrose nodded as Stormstrike spoke. He was smart, smarter than Foxstar in her opinion. Her pale eyes were solemn as she watched her 'leader' be tended to. She simply rose to her paws and padded towards Stormstrike her gaze turning to the other clan's deputy, her head nodding. "None of your kits should be harmed. I went and helped your warriors guard the entrance when the battle started. I wanted no part of this battle." Her gaze then turned to Stormstrike. "Call me a turncoat and a traitor if you want, but I will not stand to see the injury of kits who have no part in a battle." She said, flicking her tail.

FoxStar blinked slowly at DappledFrost, and looked down.

"I see, so I did get some after all. I didn't know. What happened with the battle?" all of a sudden, after she said that, the battlefield opened up in her eyes. She looked around, yet, this wasn't how it actually looked like.

It looked bloody, most of her warriors upon the ground, dead, along with RiverClans. What happened? She hoped this isn't what it really looked like. Was it a sign that her clan was going to fall apart? If so, then what about the RiverClan warriors?

Then she saw herself laying right in the middle of the clearing, just laying there still.

"This is... wrong, please tell me it is..." she murmured.

DarkNight bounded up beside AshRose, and couldn't help but chip in a, "I helped, too!"

He looked away for a moment, but then back at StormStrike.

Dappledfrost looked around them, seeing Foxstar's gory vision. She shuddered before turning back to the WindClan leader. "No. Thankfully, this is not the reality you live. But it easily could become the future." The medicine cat couldn't help but turn back to the still bodies around them. It made the fur on the back of her neck prickle. "WindClan and RiverClan must somehow make peace if both are to survive. To save innocent blood, an understanding must be made."

Her blue eyes closed for a moment, shutting out the horrible sight. It was these sort of things that should never be seen. She opened her eyes again, this time focusing only on Foxstar. "The only death this battle brought was yours. But heed this warning, Foxstar. StarClan's division over your lives was too great to side one way or the other. You did not receive all nine lives of a leader. A good amount, still, but not all of them."

FoxStar nodded. Maybe it was just showing her fear, that has to be it, right? It had to be it. At least, that is basically what DappledFrost seemed to speak of.

"I see. I understand, yet I don't think it is possible without another fight. I bet all the other cats will be surprised when I wake," she said rather truthfully, sitting still. She tried to close out her vision for right now, for she didn't like the picture of blood.

"StarClan is still angry with me, right?" she asked, looking away.

Dappledfrost's gaze softened. "Not all of us, but yes, some. Some of the older members of StarClan see you as a leader who will bring about only plagues for WindClan."

The medicine cat tried to put on a little smile. "But they can't stop you completely from leading WindClan as best as you can. They can only guide us to what they see as the better future. If you can stay strong, and prove that you can be the best thing WindClan could ask for, then they'll come around to see you that way as well."

But really, the medicine cat doubted it. Foxstar had had the time needed to show the rest of the Clans she could really be the best. And only now were things starting to look better for WindClan. And it had already been overshadowed by a battle that resulted in Foxstar loosing one of her lives.

Stormstrike glanced to Ashrose, then to Darknight. He shook his head, not angry at all. "I wouldn't call you that, I would have done the same if I was in your place. This battle never should have happened..." He murmured the last part almost to himself with a frown.

SnowFeather walked over to StormStrike, and quivered her whiskers.

"This battle shouldn't of been made, I agree," she spoke softly, "And I'm leaving the clan. I can't take it anymore. It isn't with FireStar only either, it's how I am starting to feel."

Her ears flickered around, the tip of her tail twitching.

"This never should have happened...." she agreed. "I only hope no lives were lost....it appears everyone is fine, shaken, but fine." Her pastel gaze smoothly overlooking cats from both clans.
