FoxStar growled, still being on her back legs. Her lips were curled back in a snarl, while her optics were narrowed down into slits.

"Boy, my senses are coming clear once more. You have no idea what I'm thinking, and I do not wish to say."

Her paws were still out infront of her, with her blood-tinted claws still unsheathed.

"You do not need to know anything, you are just a warrior! One that betrayed the clan!"

Her fur was prickled up, bristled upon her spine.

Don't Hold Back

Badgerstep bristled when Foxstar approached the gathered group of WindClan cats, then grimaced with fallen ears when she denied their protests. Clearly, she wasn't up for defense. But she wouldn't start a fight in the middle of camp, would she? With one of her own warriors? But, all the same, the newly made warrior wouldn't have minded getting a few clawfulls of ginger fur between his claws. She deserved that much at least.

He was tired of defending her, no matter what Moonspirit felt. "You talk of betrayal? That's a laugh!" Badgerstep's lips pulled back into a snarl. "And now what? You're going to attack another Clanmate? I'd like to see StarClan give you lives at this rate."

FoxStar looked at BadgerStep, and let out a deafening growl. She was getting testy, and she had actually chosen him to go with her to Highstones.

"Shut up! You don't know anything!"

Her claws were still unsheathed, and now they were swinging the air wildly infront of her. Not in any sort of fashion, it was just moving side to side and up and down, oddly.

"It's called defense, BadgerStep. Don't even ask what happened in there with me and MoonSpirit, MoonSpirit, don't tell him. It's between us, only!"

She hissed, not getting down on all fours yet.

Moonspirit looked away, not only would she obviously tell her love, she would confess and confide in him. But no other cat but herself and him would ever know that.

Passed All Thought

Badgerstep growled in frustration, but lashed his tail and pulled back. No matter how much he wanted to, the warrior wasn't about to throw himself at the leader, claws first. What difference did that make from him and her? So he wouldn't attack. But that didn't mean he was going to back down completely. The warrior sheathed his claws with a grimace clear on his face. "I think we know quite enough," he growled coldly. "When you do something like this, it involves every cat."

Swiftfire looked at Foxstar in dismay as she reared onto her hind legs and pawed the air with unsheathed claws. Nightclaw wasn't about to back down though and continued to challenge her with his words. Everything he said was true in her mind, but Foxstar's reasoning was way off.

Her fur bristled as she heard that they couldn't possibly understand because they were just warriors. She wanted to spit out that Foxstar was just a warrior as well. Without Starclan's blessing she was just a warrior with a higher name. Woop-de-do!

Then her attention turned to Badgerstep who began to take their side as well. Foxstar lashed back, but Badgerstep never wavered. Moonspirit was called into the conversation again as well. This was about her and all. The last of what Badgerstep said, Swiftfire agreed to fully.

Swiftfire bravely took a step forward towards Foxstar. Her eyes were lit up and they met Foxstar's immediatly. "Don't be so quick to step us down Foxstar. If we do know anything is that what a leader's action does is effect the entire clan."

"Moonspirit knows more than any of us and I think she'd agree with me that your knowledge is equal to ours when it comes to these situations. Starclan will determine how to punish what you did Foxstar. We as warriors have no right to do so," she spoke calmly. Her gaze hardened on Foxstar, not with hate though, far from it.

She turned around and looked at Moonspirit. "Now if your perfectly alright, would you mind helping us acquire some traveling herbs. The hour is almost upon us to leave to Mothermouth if we are to get there in time for the Moonstone to light up, that is if Foxstar allows you to of course."

Her tail lashed to let everyone understand this was over. If one began to talk of this again and spread it among the clan there would be heck to pay and this time it would be her claws that ripped blood out of bodies.

Moonspirit bounded to her den, grabbing packed travelling herbs. She gave them to Swiftfire, "Here, you take them." she mewed, giving them to him.

Your Beautiful Soul

Badgerstep watched her leave and come back with a close watch, fearing that the white and silver she-cat would become woozy from the cut across her head and fall in the process. But she appeared to be alright enough as she returned with the traveling herbs in her jaws, setting them before Swiftfire.

The black and white warrior twitched his whiskers. She seemed so... Over it. Foxstar, her own leader, had just raked a claw across her beautiful face, but she was acting as if she had already put it behind her. But I guess that's part of her charm, he thought with a smile.

The tom reached out and used his paw to guide one of the packages toward himself. "So do we eat these now? I guess we're leaving soon."

Moonspirit wanted to lick Bagerstep on the cheek, or at least hold him and never let go... but she couldn't even smiled at him, they could never reveal a match between the two lovers. "Well, that depends on Foxstar, shall we go now?" she mewed, her voice showed no emotion so far....

The leader kept eying BadgerStep and the medicine cat, ignoring SwiftFire and NightClaw now. They seemed to be having something going on, well not exactly ""Going on"", just a maybe better relationship? Maybe close friends?

She just wanted to know, was all. And what all the cats were saying was making her edgy, even MoonSight seemed angry with her...

FoxStar just growled, and stalked off, her tail swishing side to side. That should be an answer, for she was already starting to walk out of camp.

Moonspirit used her paw to push a package to each cat going on the trip, her eyes followed the packages for each cat other than Badgerstep, she looked into his eyes as she passed him the last bundle. Moonspirit didn't mean to make this unconscious mistake, and only a cat who had been severely watching her, or already noticed something between the two cats, would have noticed. Moonspirit quickly ate her packet and bounded for the camp entrance.

Heading Out

The black and white warrior hadn't noticed Foxstar's looks. Rather, he had bent his neck over to quickly gulp down the traveling herbs. The tom had, however, caught Moonspirit's glance. Still leaning over, Badgerstep snuck a fast smile before returning to his full height. The patched tom was feeling much more positive with just that little heartbeat. "All set," he mewed, licking away the bitter taste from his jaws, then bounding after his leader and medicine cat.

Swiftfire quickly lapped up her share of the bitter tasting herbs. Foxstar was already leaving, but Swiftfire watched Badgerstep and Moonspirit walk off a couple of heartbeats later. She cocked her head.

There was something different about how they acted together than anyone else, but she couldn't put her paw on it.

With a look to Nightclaw, she quickly leaped up, brushed past him, and ran to the group. She nodded a thanks to Moonspirit for the herbs and swished her tail awaiting Nightclaw to follow. Her step was light, not as heavy as it had been earlier in the day. Her heart was as well and the moors lured her further into its depths towards Mother Mouth, the destination where their ancestors talked to them.
