The cream colored she-cat was prowling through the reeds, by the water. She scented something, it was a mouse. She grinned, but it lead up towards the trees more, away from the river.

She sighed, she didn't like walking that far, but this will have to be acceptable.

She prowled through, and saw the little gray creature munching on a seed. It was near the roots of a large oak tree, or a willow tree. She grinned, her tail flicking side to side.

She was about to pounce, before hearing someone behind her, which made the mouse scurry away.

She let out a large hiss, and turned around to face her enemy, the one who scared it off. It was a tom, which made her even more mad.

Hawktalon hadn't been paying attention, though at this exact moment he couldn't remember what he had been thinking about. He was jolted back to reality by a hiss and Needleheart was before him. She looked angry and his ears had caught the scuffling of a mouse. He had messed up her catch! "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't see you..." He apologized quickly.

NeedleHeart hissed again.

"Sorry doesn't cut it!"

Her eyes narrowed, staring up and down the tom. She knew he was a clanmate, but that didn't stop her from getting angry.

"Couldn't you smell my scent, you fool?!"

Her tail flicked back and forth, as she started to circle him.

Hawktalon winced. "I know, I know!" He sighed. Could she not just accept an apology? He sat down, wrapping his tail around his paws. "Look, I said I'm sorry. I should have been more aware. I'll just leave and let you get back to hunting." He got back to his feet, starting to pad away from her.

NeedleHeart hissed.

"You pathetic mouse-brained fool!"

Before he could get away, she leapt on his back, claws sinking near his shoulders. She hissed.

"Apologizing shows fear, fear shows weakness!"

Hawktalon wasn't expecting anything, especially from behind, so he buckled under her weight, both of them crashing to the ground. He growled, rolling over on her to make her let go before springing back to his feet, taking a wary stance. "I'm not showing fear, I thought you'd want an apology! Why would I have fear?" He eyed her carefully, knowing full well what she was capable of.

NeedleHeart sprang to her paws when he got off, and growled. She kept staring at him, tail swishing side to side, with eyes narrowed. Her ears flickered slightly as she spoke.

"Why would I want an apology by a useless furball!"

She hissed.

Hawktalon rolled his eyes. This cat was insane and a real pain in the flank. He sighed, shrugging. "I don't know what you want! You're not making any sense, either you want me to just go away after apologizing or make me make up for it. Make up your mind!" He growled in frustration, eyes narrowing.

"I want you to leave, and I want to kill you!"

Her eyes narrowed, fur bristling on her shoulders.

At these words, Hawktalon's eyes widen then narrowed angrily. "You want to kill me? Why, just because I scared your prey away? Seems a little unreasonable to me.." Eyeing her carefully as his tail flickers.

"I want to kill you, because you are alive!"

Her tail swished back and forth, eyes narrowing.
