The dark black pelt of a young female warrior was covered in splotches of blood. How did she get them? She fell. Yes, that's correct. The agile she-cat FELL.
How embarrassing! Now I need to see Solospot.. she frowned, padding closer and closer to the den.

"Excuse me, Solospot? Cou-" she cut herself off, she was beginning to get dizzy. She managed to get into the den before falling over in pain. "Ah!" she gasped, curling up. Was she losing too much blood?

Oh, wait. That's just a sparkle.

The pungent smell of blood was probably his first alarm. Ears pricking up, the frail tom sprinted to his cobweb stash, without checking out the injury yet.

Or even seeing the cat.

Ran to meet the maimed warrior and dropped his materials upon seeing her. "Great StarClan!" Solospot exclaimed. She was loosing a terrible amount of blood.

A sudden surge of fear erupted inside him. He picked up his cobwebs; so nervously approaching the bloody she-cat he nearly pounced on her. All the blood was making it difficult for him to find the source.

She'd come a long way from the site of the injury. With short licks, he tried to lick away where the most blood would be obscuring his ability to find the wound.

Once he did, he quickly applied the cobwebs. The medicine cat tried to gently pull her over to his spare moss bed.

Anxiously, he lay himself over the cobwebs, on top of her. Terrified that the bleeding was too heavy. That the cobwebs wouldn't be enough.

However, he was aware it probably wasn't the case. Regardless, he couldn't be too safe.

Shadowshine looked at Solospot, and smiled. "Ha! Having fun-" cough. "Lying on me?" a simple joke should help the tension, right? The black she-cat realized that he was nervous, and she held sympathy for him. "Only jokin', hon. You're doi-" cough. "Doing fine. Thanks for stopping the bleeding," she said, looking at the dried blood in her fur.

Sighing, she tried to pick her head up to lick the blood out of her fur, but in losing the blood she realized she lost her strength. Sighing, again, she closed her eyes. "It hurts," she moaned.

Would they like to meet mine?

Got fluttered, felt hot under his pelt, and muttered an apology. Ears shot back when she coughed. When she tried licked the blood away, Solospot shook his head, "N-no, you might--uhm, you might..." he seemed to have lost his train for thought for a moment.

Shaking, the white tom turned toward his herbs, breaking a trance. "Open!" He exclaimed, growing intensely embarrassed with himself. "You might open your wound," He added a hardly audible 'again'.

Quickly going over to his herb supply, he pulled out two poppy seeds, going back toward the she-cat. Dropped then and mumbled "These'll... these'll help." Adverted his yellow eye.

Shadowshine stopped mid-lick, Oh, alright," she said nervously. The black warrior looked again to see if she had opened the wound, and thankfully, she hadn't. "Thanks..." she said as she licked up the small seeds.

He nodded stiffly, already knowing she hadn't yet reopened the wound. "Yeah.." He murmured to her thanks.

Ears twitched sidewards in his uncertainty. "Uhm. You can... rest in here for awhile or in...uhm, in the warrior's den..." A pause with his thoughts. "But you're going to want to...er... not go hunting or patrolling... or... uhm, or anything extreme, Shadowshine."

Upon saying her name, his mind bounced back into the prophecy and it rattled in his mind. But she couldn't fit into the prophecy right. It was given to all the clans. Not just him. The she-cat couldn't be the 'great shadow' StarClan referred to.

He forgot about it.

The black she-cat smiled nervously, and nodded. "I'll stay in here, I guess..." she said awkwardly, getting up and wincing in pain.

She looked around for an area she could sleep on, and when she found a small bed of moss she looked at him, "Can I sleep here?"

She noticed that he was deep in thought, was he thinking about her? How much of an idiot she was? Shadowshine felt uneasy now, and shifted uncomfortably.

Broke out of his thoughts again. Back to reality now.

Looked at the bed of moss she mentioned. "Yeah, yes," He stammered out, "You may sleep there." He quickly went to her side, "Lean on me, I'll help you get there,"

He wasn't completely sure what she suddenly seemed uneasy. Could it have been something he said? Something he did?

Why did it matter so much?

Shadowshine smiled, "Okay," and she leaned on him, not a lot, but a little. She liked how his fur felt, but what was she thinking? He was a medicine cat.

She layed down and winced with pain, "Ah.." she frowned, looking at her cut. Laying down had managed to open. She rolled her eyes and put her head on her paws.

Wincing, as if he felt the cut reopen, Solospot pressed against the wound, trying to let it the blood clot again. "Yeah, uhm, just, just rest..." He mumbled, adding a soft 'sleep' and trying to concentrate on the wound. "You cut yourself pretty--er--pretty bad..."

Bit his tongue nervously. Wished he wasn't so flustered all the time. Especially not in this situation.

Wait, what situation?

"You're going to have to spend the next few suns in here." Was he repeating himself? Inhaled sharply--he was.

The female warrior nodded, she liked the idea of spending a while in here, talking with him. "Yeah, I guess I did," she mewed, annoyed.

She had already forgotten how she cut her flesh, but she knew that it was embarrassing.

Did he tell her to sleep? Maybe, but she was tired... she closed her eyes and slowly started drifting.

Gave a tense nod and watched her as she drifted. Ear flicked backwards with a sense of uncertainty. Shadowshine looked to peaceful there. Most cats did when they slept.

Although, she defined some other kind of peace. Maybe a peace in him.

With a sigh and a sudden, quick self-conscious lick on his chest, the medicine cat bounded off to call his apprentice.

He needed the apprentice to collect some more supplies. Solospot was tied to the den, though.

The black female stirred, she was waking up. She opened one eye, and then the other. Yawing, she blinked the sleep from her eyes, and looked around for Solospot. Finding him, she smiled, "Hey," she said, trying to get up. She moaned in pain, and plopped down onto the floor.

"Haha, bad idea, huh?

Whirled around and ears shot back as she called to him. Before he could warn her not to get up, she was already moaning in regret.

A frown crossed the medicine cat's face. Quickly, Solospot chewed up some chervil for Shadowshine's wound. Carrying it over, he spit it out in a large leaf nearby. "Careful," He told her, and smiled sincerely at her comment.

"I'm, uhm, taking off the cobwebs," He advised her, as he carefully pulled the red-soaked webs away from her wound. It wasn't as big as a scratched as it seemed. "This might... string a little..." The medicine cat delicately pressed some poulticed chervil onto the wound.

Some of the dry blood had cracked when she moved, the tom noted, but nothing extreme.
