Fireleaf had spend her first night in her new den. It's musty scent hung to her pelt like dew drops on grass. She padded out and cleaned her fur, long swift licks made her fur
soft and fluffed. She sighed, walking gingerly out and over to the medicine cat den. "M... M... Mir... Miraclefur?!" She mewed, "Ready to go?"

MiracleFur's head popped out of her den, and smiled at FireLeaf.

"Of course."

She padded out, and yawned.

"Let's go."

She then suddenly paused, and took a few steps back.

"Wait.. what if the clan gets sick when we are gone..?"

She had no apprentice, she knew no other cats with her specialty with herbs. What would happen?

"If it makes you feel more sure about going....I may have a suggestion." A quiet, deeper voice of a tom spoke up. Stormstrike's light blue eyes shone in the moonlight as he moved out of the shadows, lean muscles rippling under his grey fur as he padded over to the two she-cats. "I do not wish to delay you too long, as we need both of you back to us by tomorrow. But if it sets your mind at ease Miraclefur...would you like to show me a few basic herbs? I don't think I'll need them, but to make you feel better...and to ease all our nerves." He said easily, shrugging lightly and smiling some. Truth was, he was just as nervous as them, even though his position didn't seem as much as leader or medicine cat. But one day....oh Starclan, what would he do then...

MiracleFur looked at Stormstrike and nodded.

"Alright. FireLeaf, is that okay?"

She glanced at her, eyes slightly clouded, but soon brightened.

She padded in her den, a flick of her tail telling StormStrike to follow.

Stormstrike dipped his head to Fireleaf, nodding before following her into the den. "I know cobwebs stop bleeding and poppy seeds for pain..." He said quietly, looking around. He smiled lightly, shrugging. "But that's about all I know...sorry. But don't worry, you won't be gone for long. Everything will be okay."

Stormstrike nodded, padding closer to her and looking her straight in the eyes, his own bright eyes usually joking and playful now serious and determined. "With my life I will protect this clan. Just as you and Fireleaf would." He said solemnly, looking around. "When you come back, I'll ask an apprentice to help you gather some more. For now, the clan is safe." He said surely and nudged her warmly. "Now please show me anything you think I might need to know, Fireleaf must be getting impatient." He said this lightly, but in his mind he was curious. 'What sign did Starclan show her that has her so rattled?
