She knew RainPaw would do that, she swiftly turned around to meet him to her face, but instead, saw Leo attacking him.

She hissed, bowling herself into Leo.

She growled, but got knocked over by Cicatrice. She met his gaze and laughed.

"BlackShard, what are you doing, protecting a she-cat?"

"She's my mate, ya know."

"As if! You never wanted a mate!"

Leo hissed but she would never hurt one of Cicatrice's 'partners' she wiggled out of her grip. She fluffed her pelt, "Sorry! I didn't know you called 'dibs' on apprentices! They are the easiest to hunt you know!" she snarled.

Needleheart moved when Cicatrice got up. She looked at Leo, and smiled.

"Naw, I'm going to train this little sport. You know, he can do a lot more damage than you think."

She smiled, and then frowned to Cicatrice.

"She is my mate, NeedleHeart. I swear."

He grinned, nuzzling Leo's cheek.

Leo purred, she licked his cheek in return-purring loudly. She loved it when Cicatrice loved her, if it could make any sence. If this... Needleheart couldn't understand that then that was her problem.

Her ears flicked a bit, and looked at RainPaw.

From the edge of the feilds a kit poked his head through. His nose was black and his fur was gold with black spots. His fur was laced with snow and his paws were pink and cold. He had to jump like a hare to get through the deep snow. He said a word each jump. "Hi!-Mom!-We- were-bored-so-we-followed-your-paw-prints!" snow appreared on his nose, he sneezed but then took a few more jumps and he was sitting beside his mother, cuddling close to her.

Ice was just behind his brother, but blue eyes now open gleaming with excitement. "Yeah! We followed them all the way here! We didn't let this dumb snow stop us!" He smiled up at his mother, then his father, his tail held high in the air. The white of his pelt seemed to blend in with the snow, but the sandy-brown smudges on his face, legs and tail were clearly visible.

Aradox slunk through, not caring how high the snow was. He was kind of visable, his pelt showing against the pure whiteness of the snow.

It was up to his eyes almost, and he barely made it through the snow, but he didn't jump above it, he rather just walked through.

Leo looked at Needleheart, rolling her eyes. "Oh please don't sound so surprised!" she said bitterly. She looked back to her kits and smiled, licking the top of their heads.

He murmured, nodding his head to NeedleHeart.

"Come on.. I wanna leave this dump already! I already almost fell down, and I don't want to do it again!"

Leo licked his shoulder and swished her tail to her kits. "Right then. Lets go home." she mewed. Com'on Kits." She looked back to Needleheart, flicking her tail and then following her mate and kits.

Spots followed his dad, jumping at his tail and trying to attack it.

Rainpaw did not expect the attack from the loner, the wind getting knocked out of him. He swiped at the she-cat as he tried to get his breath back. He was almost pinned down when Needleheart jumped in and he got to his paws, breathing heavily but luckily not a scratch on him. He growled angrily, eyes on the two loners warily. But his next few words were directed to Needleheart. "Now you want to train me? How can I believe a cat that turned on her clan. What's in it for you?"

She watched Cicatrice leave with Leo and Aradox and Spots. Aradox was just shoving Spots, not even really paying attention.

Her mind suddenly snapped, her head turning around on RainPaw.

"It was a mere test to see what you would do if I said those things. I expected you to attack me, and that was a test. I didn't expect that useless furball to attack you! And nothing is in it for me, just you, that is all."

She let out a low growl, aggrivated by that she-cat.. What was with her? Why must she bust a move on something like that?

Rainpaw frowned, not liking how she used him. This she-cat knew how to get what she wanted. But...if she could help him become a warrior...Was it worth it? He sighed, looking to her rather unhappily. "Fine. But you know I won't let you hurt Riddlehawk." He said slowly, eyeing her to see what her response would be.

Needleheart's ears flicked a bit.

"Fine. But don't expect me to be all nice to him. I can at least insult, right? Not like that hurts him anyways."

She looked at her paws, grief and pain flashing in her eyes, but then determination refilled them, looking at Rainpaw.
