The black cat Moonlight walked into the RiverClan camp and saw there were no cats out. She had a question for there leader onw that could help bothof them. She walked to the senter of the camp with her two kits behind her as she called out "Crookedstar leader of Riverclan could we talk I have a big question for you"she mewed as she sat there waitting for a response.

Fireleaf padded out of the Nursery, her kits following. "Kits, Stay here!" she said tensely.

MiraclePaw padded out, with a wad of herbs in her mouth. She stared at the loner, her tail lashing back and forth.

Froststorm, just padding into camp with a fresh fish in his jaws, stopped dead at the sight of the loner. His icy eyes first widened, then narrowed upon hearing their request. His gaze traveled to the small kits. They reminded him of the little apprentice he had almost killed, Rainpaw of ThunderClan. Seeing these young cats brought back the pleasing smell of blood to his nostrils. He pushed it away, padded around the loners and set his fish on the fresh-kill pile, then turned to look back at them. Just what did they want?

Miragepaw had just gotten back from training with Needleheart. She saw the kits sitting at the front of the camp. She walked over to them cautiously. "Hello, who are you fellers?" She asked softly to them so she wouldnt scare them.

Crookedstar stood up from conversing with her fellow warriors. What are our defenses so weak that any cat can walk into camp unescorted? "Greetings Stranger, Pray tell what you are doing in this camp?" She asked friendly at first trying to assimilate the cats intentions

NeedleHeart had shouldered her way in, shouldering past other cats, to see a queen with kits. She hissed up in fury. She wanted to lunge at her, but she knew she couldn't.

Froststorm, twitching his whiskers at the newcomers, padded over to Needleheart. "What do you suppose? A queen wanting a Clan's strong protection?" he hissed scornfully.

Moonlight smiled "Cats I have travled far to ask of this with my kits with me, I am a lonner though I dream of life with a clan I am not here as a threat or anything that could harm you but I am here to humbaly ask to join your Clan if you will have us" mewed Moonlight.

Leoparclaw went to sit next to Fireleaf and hissed slightly at the thought of the older kits in the nursery. "If they lay a paw on our kits...", he whispered the growl.

NeedleHeart growled an agreement with FrostStorm.

"I want to rip them to shreds."

She muttered, half to herself, half to him.

Crookedstars instincts said to say no but she glanced at the kits and saw their needy eyes. "Silence clan, is this how we treat a defenseless queen and her kits?" She looked around at her warriors knowing they werent aout to like what she was about to say. " As long as you mean no harm and you pull your own wait around here you are welcome in for the winter." She said before padding back towards her den.

"thank you"she mewed she looked at the others around her and noticed another queen with kits. She walked over to her and signaled her kits to come along with a flick od her tail. "Hello, I am Moonlight pleased to meet you" she mewed as she lowerd her head in respect.

Meatsi the black and white one standing behind her came out to show himself. "hello" he mewed as he shuffled his paws then looked up to Leopardclaw "I have never met such a big warrior before" he mewed.

Fireleaf nodded and purred to Leopardclaw, "It's Okay sweetheart, I would protect our kits with my life."

NeedleHeart drew her lips back in a snarl.

"Froststorm, what should we do about her?"

Her tail swished back and forth, her head nodding towards the leader walking away to her den.

"Our clan is running weak."

Froststorm's eyes followed his Clanmates, flicking his ear in understanding. He responded in a hushed hiss. "Crookedstar is growing old. Her judgement must be clouding if she's willing to let a pack of loners into RiverClan." His eyes narrowed as a plan formulated in his mind. "Perhaps her time as leader is coming to a close. A new leader is needed, one who won't let our Clan's blood run with that of rouges."
