Hawktalon purred, pressing his body against her. "And I promise the same. To always be there for you, we've got each others backs..." He murmured back, eyes warm and loving as he responded. Today might be the end for some cats...but it was just the beginning for them. Finally, everything was good.

Stormstrike hadn't been paying close attention, but when his name was called, his eyes widen as well. ...H-him?! He glanced to Dappledleaf, both their expressions of shock until she licked his cheek proudly and he smiled sheepishly. She had picked him....Fireleaf had picked him...Wow. He touched her shoulder with his tail in response before stepping forward and dipping his head to Firelead, showing respect for his new leader. "Th-thank you Fireleaf....it's an honor to be choosen as your deputy."

Flareclaw dug his claws into the earth. Why did he never get chosen! He had an apprentice! He was the perfect choice, but so was Stormnight. He obviously had to agree with Fireleaf. He just thought he was the perfect choice! He turned and headed back for his den to go to sleep and then maybe tomorrow he would get an explanation, but that would be rude to ask. He just thought he should be deputy and help lead his Clan. But he had to remember, he was a great warrior.

Leopardclaw walked into the clearing eavesdropping on the whole conversation. He wanted nothing more than to be welcomed back into his clan along with his daughter. "Fireleaf may I talk with you?", he said his voice ringing out to the clearing. What if she denied him? What if she had no room for him now that she had to take care of the clan?
