Stormstrike limped into camp and headed straight for Firestar's den. His injury could wait, they needed to talk now. He stopped at the entrance, knowing he still needed to respect her because she was his leader after all. "Firestar...I wish to speak with you. Please, will you see me?"

Firestar turned to him, she had cooled off since her rampage at WindClan. "Yes, erm." she turned to him, guilt in her eyes. "I wanted to apologize. I guess I couldn't see that attacking would cause more harm than good and I think you did a great act in helping defend the clan from my narrowsidedness."

Stormstrike was glad to see she had cooled off from her anger as he padded into her den to speak with her more. He nodded to her, looking down. "Thank you Firestar. Sometimes a cat's judgement can be misled because of who they're trying to protect, or think they are." He said quietly, to show he didn't fully blame her.

"After you left...Foxstar came around and she spoke with me. I have a message from her if you will hear it." He said, glancing up to her.

Intrest bubbled in Firestar's eyes and motions when she heard 'Foxstar' and 'message'. "I am very intrested to hear this, please, continue." she began, her eyes narrowing in wonder.

Stormstrike thought a moment to remember it, then spoke. 'If you want to prove that you are strong, determined, loyal, and most importantly, the one right for the job, then you gotta make your warriors believe, don't show how you really feel, how angry, upset, or any of that to your warriors, just show your pride and determination'." He said out of memory, looking to her.

"I think she's right Firestar. You lost a lot of support today..."

The Fire is blown out of Wind

Firestar's eyes clouded and she took a deep breath. "Sometimes we have to learn our lessons the hard way." she murmured. "But I will tell you this, I will not make that mistake again by sending another attack." she said cautiously, Whether WindClan makes a move or not is Foxstar's decision. If she doesn't then the battles are completly done!"

Stormstrike looked down to his paws as she spoke, nodding. "Yes, I suppose we do....though I think concerning Foxstar....she has suffered enough loss. Another battle would only make it worse." He said solemnly, glancing back up to Firestar. "But Firestar, I will support you know matter what. I was just worried about the clan's safety...I would never disobey you intentionally..."

Don't play with Fire

Firestar nodded, "But I would be in the right mind strip you of your deputyship." she mewed, "You have no idea how embarassing it is to have your own deputy disobay you." she narrowed her eyes, "But I wont, because you did it out of care for your clan." she sighed.

Stormstrike winced slightly, looking back down out of respect. He had expected this sort of thing. "Thank you Firestar, for your generosity and mercy. It won't happen again." He said honestly, nodding.

One cat with courage is a majority

Firestar only bowed her head to her deputy, "I have a great deal of respect for you Stormstrike. and... I think this has only increased that." she turned to face the wall, wondering waht to day next from the wave of questions flooding her mind.

Stormstrike felt his skin heat up from the praise, looking to her and blinking in gratitude. "That means a lot Firestar, thank you...." He watched her curiously, unsure whether to go or not. "Would you like me to do anything else Firestar?"

I know what I am fit for. I can command a body of cats in a rough way; but I am not fit to be Leader

Firestar sighed, her paw rested on small hill from her cave-den. She turned back to Stormstrike, "Nothing in preticular... Just make sure the cats are calm and hold off patrols until dawn this morning and continue as if nothing happened, and, try not to focus one the happening tonight. I need to keep a low profile for a while." Firestar was ashamed of herself and her ears ignited on fire at the thought of facing her clan.

Stormstrike nodded as she gave him orders, turning to go out of the den. "Will do Firestar. And don't worry, it should work out just fine." He said with a soft smile before disappearing out of the den.
