Crystallight was chatting with her two new best friends, Spottedsky and Littlewhisker. Her brother Flairpelt, seemed to have found someone else to play with. She was sad they had never become so close like Spottedsky and Littlewisker. They were inseparable, and though the past few moons she had joined them is a tight bond of sisterhood. They sat in the edge of the clearing, bragging about biggest kills.

"I once caught a mouse bigger than me!" Littlewhisker bragged.

"Its not too hard to be bigger than you Littlewhisker!" Spottedsky teased, "But I remember, the elders almost had stomach cramps trying to finish it. Remember when I almost caught that owl?"

Crystallight giggled, "And then it turned on you and flew away with our catch? Yeah, because the mouse-dung was so smelly I still have it in our fur. Fireleaf warned you to bury your prey, and we both had to pay for coming home empty handed!"

Stripedleaf sat at the outer end of the clearing not wanting to join the little gab fest. After her mother's mistake at her warrior ceremony she didn't really have a craving for being around her sister Spottedsky. She was so jealous that her sister had gotten a new and fresh name while she was stuck with the the hand me down name.

Littlewhisker glanced at her sister, "Come over here Stripedleaf!" She called, "We hardly get to talk."

Stripedleaf sneered. "Ha wonder why", she whispered mostly to herself not caring to join them. She stayed where she was staring at Spottedsky's pelt wishing it would catch on fire. She grimaced keeping to herself, for the most part. Since the only cat she confided in was her father. He was the only one who loved her for just being her.

Spottedsky's pelt pricked as she felt a hot gaze striking her fur. "Are you sure? Please Stripedleaf, I'm sure you have some great stories to tell.

"No thank you SpottedSKY", she sneered puttijng the emphasis on the last part. She had no reason to go and chat with her sisters. For the most part they had grown apart and she had grown a hate for them.

"Sorry I asked," Spottedsky murmured. She turned away and began washing her paw, rubbing it over her ear. Littlewhisker sighed, "We just wanted to talk, like sisters."

Stripedleaf spat. "Who do you want to talk to? Me? Oh I thought everyone was to busy with Spottedsky.", she hissed retreating even further into the shadows.

"Maybe because I try to have friendly conversations instead of lurking in the corners all day." she said back coldly.

"Well excuse me if I do not bow at your feet Princess.", she said spiiting a kitty-pet name. There was no way to describe the pure hate she had grown for her sister.

Flairpelt walked around camp sadly his friends had left and he was alone. They never seemed to talk to him anymore and his sister had made many new friends. He walked by and headed for the fresh kill pile and picked out a rabbit. He layed down in the shade and started to eat.

Stripedleaf's eye raised. She had just had an idea to make her sister very jealous of her. She walked over to flairpelt and sat down. "Hello Flairpelt How are you?", she asked flickering her tail.

Spottedsky stood up, "I don't want you too!" she spat back, whipping her head and going for a new piece of fresh-kill, sitting just a few pawsteps away from Flairpelt, her pelt burning with annoyance.

Flairpelt looked up from his meal and licked his lips "Hello Stripedleaf I love the name by the way" he mewed with a smile. As the wind ruffled his black and white fur he took another bite of his rabbit and pushed it to her "Would you like some?" he asked.

"Sure!", she purred enthusiastically leaning in to take a small bite. She smiled liking his comment about her name. She sighed licking her paw and swiping it over her ear.
