What am I supposed to do? (Roka-cowspot)

A white based tom, who was rather small was prowling in some undergrowth. His splotches of black spots covered his white pelt, being quite noticable. He had his yellow gaze fixed on a little gray form, a haired pink tail whisking out of the gray form.

He was being rather light, his tail swishing side to side. He knew it made no sound, for he didn't even hear it. He kept his form still, watching the form.

He focused on it, hearing a snap behind him. The little gray form's black beady eyes turned towards him, and scurried away.

He cursed under his breath, looking behind him to see a familar she-cat. He was about to yell at her..

"Er.. Hey."

"Oh no surly I am more important then your prey>", she said she walked up and stroked along his back with her tail. She then sat next to him and soaked in his smell. She snuggled deeper into his fur and kept inhaling.

CowSpot felt utterly embarrassed, not knowing exactly what to do now, at least so he thought. He sat down, and licked his chest fur. He felt his black splotches heaten up, as he thought it was the sun, when it obviously wasn't.

"Y-Yea."

He stuttered it slightly, gazing over at her. He smiled softly, the looked at the sky, which was hidden by a mass of leaves.

"What is the matter? You seem distant.", she asked suddenly worried. She looked in the direction he was looking then took a step away from him. oh no he is uncomfortable.

CowSpot blinked, and looked over at her.

"Worried is all.. Curious about things too."

He merely shrugged, and looked at his paws. He felt as if everything was twirling around him. . .

"Are you regretting you met me?", she asked pitifully. "I am a bother to your clan life", she said in the same pitiful tone.

CowSpot jumped up in shock. He glanced over at her.

"No! I am regretting ever to be in a clan, or ever born! I'm a screw-up, and it was shown since of what happened to BluePaw!"

He said it quite serious, but pain showed in his voice. He croaked, and looked at his paws.

She slowly inched toward him and stuck herself between his chest and his chin. She licked his neck all the way down to his chest. She then looked into his eyes. "If you don't want to be part of a clan then come and live with me. We can finally start a family and I can see you every day like the cats in your clan do.", she said full of excitement.

CowSpot looked at her, but sighed. His gaze fixed on a far distant tree, and shivered softly.

"Then.. I'll be a disgrace.. and.. I'll screw up.."

He knew it would happen, he did! He shut his eyes tightly, and sighed.

Roka walked up to Cowspot and licked his head. "You are no disgrace, and no screw-up either", she said in a confident tone.

[Deleted]

CowSpot whimpered.

"How could you say that? I failed to protect BluePaw, I couldn't save my own parents.. and now since of the BluePaw incinident Some cats have started to hate me.."

He looked at the ground, and sighed.

Roka once again nestled into his chest and purred at his scent. She looked into his eyes and said, "You are not a screw up and do not argue with me or I will have to steal you from your clan.". She nestled into his fur father and stifled another purr.

CowSpot merely nodded, closing his eyes. He breathed in her scent, then turned his head to his territory. He sighed softly, then looked back at her.

He still thought he was a screw-up, and probably always will.

"No more sadness, Cowspot you need to be happy.", she said still trying to cheer him up. She walked over to a tree and stretched digging her claws into a tree. She then walked back to Cowspot and sat down looking right back at him.

CowSpot merely nodded, his gaze looking up at the sky. He wanted to believe that he wasn't a screw-up, but he kept thinking he was.

Am I really a screw-up?

He shook his head, his paws scuffling against each other.
