Conto grinned as he saw the look in the she-cat's eyes. "Well, we don't have to be bloodthirsty savages all the time. LurkClan cats can behave themselves, can't we Snowfeather?.. Or, at least most of us can," he added on, remembering some of the cats back at camp. Turning away from that subject, he looked for a new one.

"I've never seen you around here before, Violet. Did you live close by?"

"No. I'm a loner. Most nights I sleep in a tree or some abandoned den." Violet said with a shake of her head. She looked over at him then at the she-cat before flickering her ears about to catch sounds.

SnowFeather's fur prickled uncomfortably, her head looking at Conto.

"Sure."

She shook her head, things on her mind. It was shown by how her ears were flickering about, and her tail swishing side to side.

She paused infront of Violet.

"Why you headin' on Clan territory? Never know what would sneak up on ya'."

"Because clan boundaries don't concern me. I figure it this way. What right have they got to keep me outta this area? Was it gifted to them by Starclan? no. They just moseyed on in and sat down and said,'this is where our clan camp will be!' and are now acting like they own the place. I able to care for myself so any cats that decide they want to take a bite outta me I'm gonna take a bite outta them." Violet said, looking at Snowfeather. She flicked her tail and continued listening for any clan cats.

SnowFeather nodded. That made sense. She sighed, her tail tip twitching slightly.

"Makes sense."

Conto nodded as well. "That's a good way of putting it. You should try telling the Clan cats that. And if they try to claw you for it, I could help fight 'em off." He smirked, his tail swishing gently back and forth.

Violet smirked. "I doubt that'll be an issue." She smiled at Conto. She rather liked this tom but memories of her past haunted her. The only tom she had loved before now, the one whos kits were due any day now, was dead. Murdered. But she could put that behind her soon. She flicked her tail back and forth. "But if you want to fight off Clan cats be my guest."

SnowFeather's ears flickered about, and walked off, thinking they might need time alone, or something.

Conto smiled, acknowledging the tom loner's leave with a flick of his tail, but he noticed a strange look in the she-cat's eyes. It was hard to tell what it was. Sadness... Memory... Worry? But the look left as soon as it came. Maybe I just imagined it, he thought to himself. But he still felt unsure. His whiskers twitched before he spoke again. "I might have to, soon enough. But, still, if you ever need help with... anything," he mewed a bit warily, "come get me. I come here often, and I'd be happy to help you."

"I'll have to take you up on that offer soon enough. I know I'll see you around. I wander in the area as well." Violet said with a smile. She flicked her tail, a mask of happiness on the outside.

Conto smiled in return, but his feeling of something hidden remained with him. If only I knew... And could I really help with it at all? Although questions were bubbling in his mind, the tom resisted the urge to speak them aloud. He only just met this she-cat. He knew nothing about her, really, so he had no right to stick his nose where it didn't belong. "So I will see you sometime... So, until then?"

"Until then" she agreed with a smile, She flicked her tail about, a happy tone to her voice.
