MoonShadow was behind CowSpot, her thick pelt being flat, looking almost thin, and not fluffy-like. She kept her ears pricked, seeing CowSpot stop at the bottom of the Giant Oak.

He sat down, and turned, waiting for RainPaw, TwilightWing, and RiddleHawk to come. His tail twitched nervously, while MoonShadow sat down infront of him, her head tilting slightly.

Twilightwing padded forward before running and jumping. She scaled the tree easily and sat down on the lowest branch. Waiting was always the hardest part for her.

Riddlehawk came through the woods, stopping when he seen Cowspot and Moonshadow. He looked up and seen Twilightwing. "Sometimes your more of a bird than a cat." He shook his head laughing.

Rainpaw ran up beside Riddlehawk, his green eyes bouncing from cat to cat. He was so eager to prove himself and he was super excited to be out of camp. He had to be checked for injuries after their dispute with Lurkclan, which he had said over and over, he was fine and sure enough he didn't have a scratch on him. He looked up to Twilightwing in awe. "How did you get up there?"

"Like this!" Riddlehawk purred, running up the trunk of a nearby tree. He padded along a branch and laid down. His tail hung down over one side and he clawed the bark under his paws.

MoonShadow laughed slightly at them all, amusement sparking in her eyes.

"Haha."

CowSpot's ears flickered about.

"Well.. er.. We are going to have a competition! Er.. on who gets the er.. biggest prey!"

He suddenly turned, and ran off.

"Hey, CowSpot you have a head start!"

MoonShadow yowled, but stayed where she was at, seeing CowSpot returning, a nervous look on his face.

Riddlehawk jumped down from the tree and into the bushes. He knew what he was after. He was searching through the underbrush now for a groundhog. They were rather large creatures.

MoonShadow went in a hunting stance, and prowled out, going behind the Oak. She saw little holes in the ground, or bumps.

Moles!

She followed them, soon finding a mole coming up for air. She pounced, and killed it swiftly with a bite at the head.

She gripped it, and pulled it out of the ground, making her own hole. She placed it in there, and buried it.

She went back in a hunting stance, hunting for more prey.

CowSpot just sat there, being nervous. He knew he couldn't win, he never would. He looked at TwilightWing, and sighed.

Riddlehawk froze and pounced, killing a groundhog. It was even better than he had hoped. Better than a praire dog. It was almost three times its size. He picked it up and carried the big rodent back to the clearing where they had started. He jumped up into the tree, dragging the groundhog with him. He layed it over the branch and purred, flicking his tail back and forth

Rainpaw looked around, seeing all the other cats go start hunting. 'I better go or I'll be left with nothing!' He thought, quickly disappearing through the bushes as he sniffed out prey, looking for something large. His ears twitched as he ran through the scents...rabbit, mouse, squirrel...he needed something big. Little did he know something was watching him and hunting him.

MoonShadow decided the mole was enough, so she went back and un-buried it. She gripped it by it's stomach, and started to pad back to the clearing where they once were. The mole wasn't a young one, it was the size on an adult almost.

She was shocked to see CowSpot sitting there. She shook her head, and sat down, plopping the mole at her paws.

Riddlehawk got down from his tree, stowing the groundhog in a hollow up there. He decided to go check in on Rainpaw. He moved through the brush then stoppped when he seen the kit. He padded over, smelling something not quite right. He pinned his ears back, his fur standing on end. "Somethings not right."

Twilightwing never had left, her attention had be brought to whatever Riddlehawk was looking at now. Growling she jumped off the branch and head away from the thing. Towards the river. "Come on guys. Let's get out of here and go back to camp the other way." Few knew about the passage from the medicine cats den. It was only for emergencies. And this was one.

Riddlehawk nodded, dashing back to the tree to snatch up his groundhog. He padded back, dropping it. "Alright. Let's go."

MoonShadow's ears flickered about, her jaws going around the mole. She noticed that it wasn't that big, not compared to RiddleHawk's.

Her tail swished, as she started to dash after TwilightWing, with CowSpot behind her, at the rear. He was making sure that 'something' was not following, that it stayed behind.
