After a while, CowSpot went up to RiddleHawk and whispered in his ear.

"How do you know what is going on with me?'

He took a step back, eyes slightly narrowed.

"Have you been spying on me?"

"No. I happened to hear you speaking to yourself one day, mumbling something about someone named Roka. Later, I just glimpsed you speaking with her while I was off hunting. I've glimpsed you with her twice. Maybe three times. That's all."

Riddlehawk said, looking at Cowspot with an odd serenity.

"I take it you have a family with her. How many kits are there?"

He looked down, and sighed.

"Ya.. I have a family with her.. There's Koe.. He doesn't believe her.. that I'm his father.. and.. There is six kits.."

His paws scuffled a bit.

Riddlehawk nodded in understanding.

"Do you plan on introducing them to the clan? Or perhaps myself or Tanglestar? Because I don't think Tanglestar would mind adding a few extra to the clan. But there is one thing. I want to train them. Of course, if you and Roka permit."

He ducked his head beneath a paw that seemed to be up his face now.

"I already asked her, she wants to be a loner.. I don't want to leave the clan though.. everyone is my family here..'

He un-hid his face, and stared at RiddleHawk.

"I hardly know what to do, RiddleHawk.."

"I know it's hard. But if Roka lets me, I want to train your kits. I've seen you fight Cowspot and if they're anything like you they'll be just as good if not better."

Riddlehawk said, flicking his tail.

"I can make sure your family gets accepted into the clan. They won't be without a place to stay should things get worse."

He looked at his paws.

"What would the clan think? I have a mate who isn't even a clan-cat.."

His ears flicked back against his head.

"You know what I mean?"

He whispered.

"I know what you mean. They know how quiet you are, how you don't talk to many cats in the clan. I think they'd be happy for you. That you'd finally found someone. They might not think to greatly of it at first, but they'll warm up to them. I mean, look at me. I was a loner for the longest time and Tanglestar and the others finally warmed up to me. Heck, Tanglestar even managed to trust me enough to make me deputy. So why shouldn't they warm up to your family?"

Riddlehawk reasoned, looking at Cowspot.

He nodded a bit, and nuzzled RiddleHawk in a friendly way.

"Thanks RiddleHawk, I can always count on you. I might not know that much about you, but I do know, you are a cat that you can count on, trust."

He purred.

he said, flicking his tail. Ah, at last. With threats from other clans gone, he could relax and settle into the calm and familiar groove that made up daily life in the clan.

Roka smelt the scent she had been looking for and ran to Cowspot. She nuzzled him not even caring that another tom was there. She purred deeply looking to see if her kits had followed. Koella was in front with Koe behind. If only he would have faith in her. Cowspot was their father and no other.

Koella saw her father and ran towards him. "Daddy!", she squealed running towards him.

He blinked at the sight of Roka. He purred as well, nuzzling her back. He stopped, and looked at RiddleHawk.

"RiddleHawk, this is Roka. Roka, this is RiddleHawk."

He smiled, and nudged Koella in a lovingly way.

Koe spat, following Koella. He narrowed his eyes, looking at CowSpot.

"He isn't our dad, ya know. I just know it!"

He boasted, sitting down, his chest puffed out.

"There is no possible way!"

Roka hissed slightly. If Koe was going to play dirty she was going to play rough. She cuffed him over the head with sheathed claws. Koe had been chewing her nerves lately and she was about ready to send him off on his own. He wanted to be on his own and then it would only be her and Koella.

Koella bounced around and when she caught sight of the new tom she hissed and leaped on him Screaming. "Clan cat Clan cat Run!!", she yelped not wanting her daddy to be in trouble.

Cowspot flicked his ears. He sat down, and yawned a bit.

"Koella, it's fine."

He purred.

"This is RiddleHawk. He.. found out about us, Roka. He is willing to train our kits, he is willing to help you get in Thunderclan.. well.. under your permission of course.."

He looked down.

Koe growled, padding over to RiddleHawk. He sniffed his side, and blinked.

"This is dad, I just know it!"

He yipped.

Roka sighed shaking her head. It was official her son had gone bonkers. She looked at her kits a little sad. She would love to live with Cowspot but she wasn't ready to move into a clan. She didn't like other cats and she wasn't a warrior and she didn't want to catch prey for other and die for them. All she cared about was her kits and Cowspot.
