Amber eyes watched the she-cat look at herself in the water. At first, he was sure it had not worked until Ferncloud sat upright. It was then, he was sure the image of herself had caught her. A smile played and finally appeared onto the tom's face. If she is so beautiful outside, then how does her heart look?, he questioned himself.

His ears pricked as the she-cat began to utter to him. Foxflight had to hold back a laugh. It was as if she was giving herself up to the opponent in a war. "Yes, that would be the right way to respond," he replied. He was glad she continued and then the words he wanted to hear from this insecure feline: she was pretty.

A soft lick on his shoulder made him look instantly down at Ferncloud in surprise. He saw his same feeling playing across her face as well. His front legs backed up to his hind, ready to spring away. Yes, he had felt fond for the she-cat, but he didn't know her true self enough for that action to be made. Foxflight wanted bat an unsheathed paw at her face for her ignorance, but he reminded himself quickly that she was of clan, his clan.

The tom cleared his throat, not knowing what to say. "Ferncloud will you join a hunting party with me later. You seem like a nice cat and I hope we can become friends," he remarked. He said this with an upbeat attitude.

Ferncloud had gotten caught up in the moment for two seconds yet she slid down ninety percent of her progress. She slumped back over slightly wanting to return back to her shy and safe state but she had to remind herself that she was doing more harm than good by slumping over. Ferncloud's pelt was red hot and she began to feel so irritated at herself for making such a stupid move. But as the tom invited her on a hunting patrol hope reentered her face and she began to realize that he didn't resent her. "Sure.", she mewed licking her own chest this time. She was overjoyed that someone had invited her to go somewhere with them and the sound of friendship made her face light up like Christmas morning. Foxflight wanted her friendship and she was happy that her smile grew vey large.

Her reaction to what she had done made him feel aghast. He hadn't helped the cat at all... After he was done speaking, he looked at the she-cat and was glad to see the smile returning. Ferncloud's answer made him mimic her smile.

Foxlight then got onto his four paws again. He flicked her ear with the tip of his tail. "Well, we better get back for the clan doesn't worry about us," he smiled.

Ferncloud followed silently after giving a quick nod, doubting that they had missed her at all. She picked up the pace a little bit and ran towards the camp, her new self esteem coursing through her veins. "I am very happy you showed me that today.", she mewed referring to her own reflection. She was so happy that she was actually pretty but she tried to keep it from getting to her. "Thank you.", she sighed feeling a relieving breath leave her lungs once again.

He began to pad to the camp, listening to the paws behind him. Suddenly, Ferncloud's pace quickened and she was soon running ahead of him. Foxflight ran to catch up with her and they fell into pace together.

The tom listened to what Ferncloud had to say and he nodded. His amber eyes then looked at her as they showed laughter. "My pleasure Ferncloud," he meowed and then looked back forward.

They were almost at the camp and a sudden itching inside of him began to rise. Foxflight couldn't wait to know more about the shy and pretty she-cat, but he had to make sure she didn't investigate him so thoroughly. It wouldn't do to have her know his intentions for the clan.

He turned to look at her just as they arrived and gave a friendly smile. "I guess I'll see you at the next hunting party. Don't forget or I'll never let you live it down," he chuckled.

Ferncloud looked at the tom with a gleaming smile. She gave a quick nod and then walked over to the place that she had lain giving a quick sniff. She then crept even deeper into the bush in which she usually hid blushing once again. She had embraced that she was slightly prettier than she had once thought but that didn't change her habits that had been formed for so many moons. She gave her paws a few shy licks and then stole one last peak at the mysterious tom. She would want to get to know as much of him as she could not wanting to miss any piece of his history.

OOC: She could maybe find out about him and then not tell because she believes he would never hurt anyone... like the blind love sort of thing.
