Rainwing studied Shadowpaw with an unreadable expression. His eyes flickered to Riddlekit, before nodding. "Alright, if at least one of you is willing to listen. As you know, Riddlehawk was my mentor before Dappledfrost. I was so excited, because I was the smallest apprentice and wanted to prove myself to anyone." His eyes flickered to Shadowpaw on this.

"I bet you've heard the stories of Froststorm...and what Riddlehawk did. Well, he has that reputation because he wanted to get back at Froststorm because he had crippled me during a fight with Riverclan. Because of the injury, I couldn't be a warrior anymore. Starclan spoke up and said I was destined for this and I didn't want to hear it. I felt like everyone was against me succeeding..." he trailed off, looking pointedly towards Shadowpaw.

"Then I realized that it may not be what I wanted, but not everyone was against me." "Hey Shadowpaw!" A cheerful voice broke in and Skypaw bounded into the den. He had all sorts of supplies with him. He nudged some more moss towards him for his bedding, and had brought some water soaked alonh with some fresh-kill. "I didn't know if you wanted this or not, but I thought you might."

Shadow paw looked at him before growling, "Leave me alone." He closed his eyes and tried to ignore the world, not interested in Rainwing's story, not believing a word of it. You can say all you want I don't believe a word of it. I never will and I have no reason too, Shadowpaw yawned before finally falling asleep.... needing the res and escape from the pain.

Rainwing sighed, shaking his head. "Thank you Skypaw, that is appreciated, really." He turned back to herbs, deciding to not waste anymore time on the self-centered apprentice in his den. 'Starclan...watch over this one.' He thought as he yawned tiredly.

"Do you want some rest Rainwing, I can watch him for you if you would like a break." Skypaw offered, sitting down and looking to the medicine cat. "Oh, that would be great Skypaw, but you don't have to..." "No problem, really." "Okay well..just let me know if he needs anything." "Will do!" The tabby medicine cat padded to his part of the den and curled up for a well-deserved nap. Skypaw wrapped his tail around his paws and looked around to all the sleeping cats thoughtfully.

Like...Shadowpaw may be getting used to having Skypaw there, though still grouchy and all, its less mean and more demanding xD Like an old person who's hurt? And then maybe Skypaw can be busy for a little while and Shadowpaw wonder why he misses him cause he thinks he still doesnt like him xD I'm just FULL of ideas :3

(Well after a few weeks shadowpaw would likely be ready to ripe his own fur out from the annoyance and he would likely become even crueler because of it BUT with skypaw being the way he is, he should see though it, maybe skypaw can get him to talk about his issues but he would have to prove himself as to not betray shadowpaw, being nice doesn't mean anything to SHadwpaw.

The little kit noticed RainWing going away, and he couldn't help but follow. He was getting a little sleepy on his paws, but he didn't want to go to the nursery.

When he laid down, he nuzzled up next to him, and dozed off right there.

(TIMESKIP!!!!! 2 Weeks)

Shadowpaw stretched, standing up carefully, watching out for someone to see him as he tried to clean the base of his tail, yawning as he washed off the caked on herbs, his skin nearly closed up even though his tail was a different story, it wasn't healing properly but he didn't care, as long as he could move it, he didn't care if it was bent. He walked to the back of the den and began to push though the ferns, wanting to get away and have some quiet, something he didn't get with the kit and Skypaw constantly talking in his ears.

"Hey, Shadowpaw, you're up!" Of course, just as he wanted some peace and quiet, Skypaw padded into the den with some prey. He put it down, and it seemed it was enough for both of them, which would make sense because he had been doing everything for Shadowpaw since he had gotten injured, meaning a little lack of sleep. But he was still all smiles and cheerfullness. "I brought you some fresh-kill, in case you were hungry....Umm...Shadowpaw? Shouldn't you be more craeful, Rainwing said not to move too much..."

Shadowpaw jumped slightly as he heard Skypaw's voice, looking at him before sinking back to the floor, wondering how the heck he always showed up when he tried to get away, "I am being careful," He looked at the food before taking a piece and walking out and sitting in the sun just outside the den, sighing before nibbling away, not really wanting to eat. He sighed, looking at the sky, knowing that the sun was going to set soon, which meant that Skypaw was going to have to go to sleep soon which meant he would have to try again at getting away.

(The way I think Skypaw could earn his trust it maybe help him fight or something. he is very stubborn and I could see him getting in deep trouble and Skypaw could bail him out then he would see that any cat that wanted him dead would have just left him to die, that work?)

Skypaw didn't bother him anymore about being careful, but you could see he was a little concerned. He sat down with his own prey, a little ways from Shadowpaw because he knew he got irritated when he was too close to him and whatnot. He ate some of his prey, because he was starving, but that didn't mean he didn't feel like talking. "So...what are you looking forward to the most about being a warrior? I can't wait for the first Gathering where Tanglestar announces our new names and such..." He sighed, smiling.

"I don't know, becoming a warrior?" Shadowpaw didn't expect to be allowed to become one as he was still the same size he was when he was four moons old. He hadn't grown at all and it made his life hard because no one believed he would make it even though he was great at fighting and hunting. He had no issues taking on cats that were bigger them him but something about his size seemed to dull down his abilities in others eyes.

Skypaw looked over to him and nodded. "I bet...even with your tail like that, I bet you'd still be a better warrior than me. You work so hard all the time, you must be really committed.." He said thoughtfully before looking back up to the clouds.

Committed? No.... all I want to do is prove this clan wrong, that I can be a great warrior even though I'm small.... that's all I want.... Shadowpaw growled, chewing away at his prey, wanting to be left alone long enough to sneak off and have some piece of mind and silence. Something that didn't happen often for him. He didn't understand why it was so hard for Skypaw to leave him alone course he was glad he hadn't seen Riddlekit in a few days, he must have final hit the kit's last nerve. He liked that idea since that was one less cat to annoy him. (I have been pondering about having him swap clans, that is if it's okay, he really does seem to change when in shadowclan from experience with this character in another rp. If the skypaw trick doesn't work ^^;;; I hope it does though, just an idea though.)
