Rippledcrest backed up a little further before answering. "Why do I feel what way? Why do I feel like a cat with feeling?", she asked staring right back. She felt a little less nervous now that the conversation was flowing, but she couldn't help but feel the same anxious excitement that she felt around him. He didn't seem like such a bad cat to her and right now he just seemed like a normal troubled cat, like the rest of the forest.

DirtFur just stared at her, and sighed.

"Why would one cat want to be my friend? I guess that is what I mean," he replied slowly, no emotion on his face nor in his words. They seemed hollow. He seemed hollow.

Nothing was helping him feel better right now, and he just seemed out of place. He was no ThunderClan warrior, he belonged in ShadowClan. There was no doubt about that, yet, he was forbidden to go back. Not only because he was exiled, but because he promised himself not to go back. He was hated there as well. Ah, he hated that.

He looked back at her, and rose out his right fore-paw. He may as well try to be nice, afterall, she was nice first.

"Sorry, alright?" he spoke, staring right at RippledCrest.

"What do you have to be sorry about. I guess after being so alone for a long time that you are not accustomed to compassion and understanding.", she frowned not moving. She gave a deep sigh and felt her lungs emptying. How great it felt to have new air relieving her parched lungs. Her eyelids flickered and batted trying to keep herself from revealing those embarrassing tears that tickled at the brim of her eyes. She was very sensitive and her poor emotions no matter what her mind would say, they would fill her eyes to the rim and pour over. Sure she was very emotional and tender, but all that meant was that you would have to watch what you say. She looked up at Dirtfur again blushing deeply.

The tabby tom sighed softly. No cat would understand how bad he felt. No one would understand how bad it feels to be alone. To be lonely. To be feared by almost every cat in the forest. Sure, they may not of feared him, but at least hated him. That's a fact.

He looked at his paws, and murmured, "I'm sorry for how rude I was. That is a reason, is it not?"

He looked back at her, letting the fur along his tabby coated spine to prickle. This she-cat was nice, yes, but she was getting on his nerves. She was making him feel uncomfortable.

DirtFur flicked his ears a bit, while his tail swished. He tried to hold in a hiss, which worked, thank starclan, but that didn't help on how he felt. It didn't help his urges.
