RunningPath paused, and looked at Starkit. She pressed her tail tip against Starkit's shoulder.

"Please, stay. I need to go, the kits won't be harmed, and I will not be killed. I promise you."

She pressed her muzzle against his chest, and gave it a swift lick. She then started to run again.

Starkit ran after her anyway. I won't let you leave me. I'm afraid. I'll be. Alone. Again. He said, a little out of breath.

RunningPath paused, she seemed to be by a big tree. He turned around, and faced him.

"I don't want you hurt.. Or anything.. I want you to be safe. These kits will be fine, and me. I promise. I won't leave you, I will be back in a flash.."

She swiftly licked his forehead.

"Don't be afraid little one.. I am still able to watch myself.. If you follow me, you will be killed, if my senses are correct."

"Then lets hope your senses are wrong." Starpaw said, his big green eyes watching her. He was a little scared, he admitted it. But he had been dreaming that if he didnt go with her, something bad would happen to him. He would follow her even if it got him in trouble.

RunningPath sighed, and licked one of his ears.

"Fine, but keep yourself unscented, okay? And hide for me?"

Starkit nodded. He padded over to some wild garlic and rolled in it till he was completely covered in the smell then bolted back over to her. His green eyes were bright and cautious. He flicked his tail and waited for her to start going on her way again.

RunningPath sighed, and started to bolt off again, her ears pricked, for every sound, she didn't want to lose Starkit. But, she was also listening for WhisperTail.

Starkit moved quickly and silently, rehearsing in his mind what defense would be best to counter any attacks. His paws were small, and he easily sidestepped any dry branches and things. He didn't want Runningpath to get hurt and he knew she wanted the same for him. That's why he was being so stubborn.
