Starkit pressed his ears back. Uhmmmm..... He paused with wide eyes. I listened to what you both said and I made a choice. I want Shadowpelt as my mentor and RunningPath as my 'mother'. I based it on a whole bunch of stuffs. he said without stammering.

RunningPath's ears flickered back and forth. She stared down at her paws. She wasn't sure what to really do at this point, she thought she wasn't fit to be a mother at all.

She moved her muzzle to Starkit's chest, and licked it gently, and purred softly.

The black and white kit purred and leaned his head into her. I hope she's not angry with me. he murmered, thinking about Shadowpelt. His blue eyes drifted to where she had left. But he had made his decision based on what was going on now and future events. Not on how he thought of each cat! He sighed and laid down, curling up.

Starkit sighed. I thought about the fact that you were going to have kits of your own. If I chose you as my mentor then there would be a lot of conflicts because you would have to be taking care of your babies too. I thought about the fact that Shadowpelt is a great warrior. She's too valuable with the threat of Lurkclan to have to take care of me too. He spoke resignation in his voice. He was old for his years, though his appearance and stuttering hid it.
