The MoonKit {Spotted/MoonKit/DirtFur/Open}

The tom was padding back, with the little kit still on his shoulder-blades. He looked rather happy, a smile plastered on his face.

This kit sure did look like MoonShine, and she even had the name MoonKit.

He let out a purr, standing in the middle of the camp.

"SpottedStar!"[/center]

Shadowheart saw Dirtfur and purred, then she saw the kit, of whom looked exactly like the apperation of Moonshine, Dirtfur's lost love. Her heart jolted and she turned away, going for a piece of fresh-kill.

What's All This?

Spottedstar came padding over, a curious look in her eyes. "Dirtfur? What's all this about?" She watched Shadowheart come closer and then leave in a hurry. What was that all about? When the leader turned back to ask the warrior what was so important, she noticed the little grey and white bundle of fur atop his back. Now she felt completely lost. "Dirtfur, who is this? Did you find her on our territory?" The she-cat padded closer to get a better look at the kit.

He saw Shadowheart come close, and he was about to speak, but SpottedStar seemed to say something first.

He smiled, and grinned.

"She's Moonkit, and yes, she was!"

He purred rather loudly, his tail swishing side to side.[/center]

No Sense

Spottedstar raised a brow. The warrior seemed oddly cheerful. After all, it was just a kit, and it couldn't be his. "Moonkit? Dirtfur, if that's true then she belongs to another Clan. Why did you bring her here? Where did you find her, anyway?" She looked back to the kit. As she hadn't known the ThunderClan cat she resembled, the leader didn't see anything unusual about her appearance. What was strange was the whole situation.

Moonkit looked up at Spottedstar, her big grey eyes wide. She flicked her tail back and forth, the two month old kit blinked a couple of times. She craned her head backwards and tried to look at Dirtfur at the same time. It was all very difficult and she managed to fall over sideways, giggling at the same time. She straightened up, putting on a solemn face.

"I asked her, SpottedStar. She said her name was Moonkit, and she didn't belong to a clan. And the warrior code said;; No matter what, you never neglect a kit!"

He blinked, and tried to remember where he found her, and sighed, shaking his head.

"I don't remember."

He couldn't help, but look back at her, smiling gently. He laughed when she giggled, giving her cheek a soft nuzzle.

"Be careful!"

Just Like Before

Spottedstar shook her head. His story didn't make any sense. If her name ended in 'kit', shouldn't that make her a Clan kit? She seemed normal enough, rolling around and giggling, but just appearing out of thin air still made her feel uneasy. What was she supposed to do- take in a kit who might belong to another Clan and not understood? But she couldn't just ignore it. If some Clan was missing a kit, they might come looking for it. "Well, what do you suggest we do? Moonkit can stay here for the time being, but she must have a family out there somewhere. Kits don't just randomly appear," she reminded him.

Shadowheart winced at the sounds, her heart almost falling from her chest. She now knew how Tagrafi must have felt. Her back faced Dirtfur as she ate a sparrow and a silver tear lit her pure black face.

The tom barely even noticed ShadowHeart, he was having too much fun watching MoonKit.

"I'mma let you down, but stay close, okay?"

He purred, nudging her gently, before gripping her scruff gently. He placed her on the ground at his paws, licking her head gently once or twice, then looked at SpottedStar.

"Oh, you never know."

He sighed, a happy sigh, nuzzling the shoulders of the little kit.[/center]

Moonkit looked up at Spottedstar. Her eyes were curious. "A clan? Mommy said that she left them a long time ago.... She said she named me with the kit at the end instead of just normal old Moon. She wanted to make me sound special, she said.... But there was a fox.... and momma told me to run. And I did." she said, looking at Spottedstar curiously.

Acceptance

The leader looked at the kit quizzically, but blinked it away. "I guess Moonkit can stay here for now. If her mother does come along, she will leave with her." That is, if her mother isn't dead. If that's what happened, poor little kit. Spottedstar smiled kindly at the young kit. "But perhaps we can take her in if no cat claims her. You seem to have taken quite a liking to the little thing- that is, if Moonkit is alright with it."

He nodded eagerly, purring at that thought. He licked behind MoonKit's ears, and looked at SpottedStar with gratitude.

"Thank you!"

He purred, curling his brown tabby tail around the kit, holding her close to his fur.[/center]

A sliver outlining appeared in front of Shadowheart. It had glowing eyes and was see through. He layed down in front of her and only stared but didn't say a word to the she-cat...he looked very familiar but his face held a saddened look to it. Shadowheart would have been able to tell it was him if she remembered really hard...yes it was Tagrafi..
