Brokenflame was trudging through the loner territory with Blossompaw in front of him and Phoenixpaw nearby. His claws were unsheathed, as he was ready to spring at the younger she-cat if she decided to make a break for it. They'd set out late last night after ambushing Blossompaw, and were now heading out into land foresaken by the Clans.
The tortoiseshell tom wasn't exactly sure where they were going. All had been quiet for the most part, and reading Phoenixpaw's mind had previously been like trying to see through mud. Were they going to where her loner parents resided? Or were they just going to imprison her sister somewhere? He wanted to growl in frustration at not knowing.
At last, Brokenflame piped up. "So where are we going?" he asked, a bit of impatience sounding through his voice.
