He stepped forward towards Nightstar and bowed his head slightly. He seemed very jumpy and excited. His ears were perked and his tail swishing back and forth behind him. His eyes were filled with excitement and wilderness. He spoke in a childish tone, "Hello.. Thank you for taking me in as a Apprentice,Nightstar, I am very greatful!"

Nightstar sat twirling hertail arund in the air. the breeze felt wonderful up here. Soon she heard the tiny squeaks of a excited kit. She smiled. she knew he was very excited. Becoming a apprentice was a once in a life-time chance. He would hopefully make a good warrior. His energy and fast speed made him perfect. Now he needed to learn his warrior skills of fighting. She decided to mentor him herself long ago. Kits were impatient on becoming a apprentice. Soon she stood upthe kit probably would have been scared of her if he didn't know her.

She smiled lightly and spoke the words passed down from generation to generation "By naming apprentices, we show that Shadowclan will survive and remain strong.
From this moment on, until he has earned his Warrior Name, this Apprentice will be known as Duskpaw.
I Nightstar will take this apprentice as my own and train him with the knowledge I know. I will be mentor to Duskpaw.". She then jumped down and restedher muzzle on his head.

Filled with so much excitement and curiousity of why she had picked him.He then licked her shoulder proudly.He tried to look calm but his excitement over grew him as he made a little cheer. He was so excited to start that he practically left his spot. His tail was wagging fast like a excited puppy.

Nightstar waved her tail for the crowd to disperse. She knew this apprentice would be trouble thats why she didn't bother with giving him to someone else. She let out a heavy sigh and sat down. This was gonna be one tough apprentice... He had alot of tasks ahead of him. He needed to memorize the territory and the best hunting spots. Hopefully he would stay away from the river. Apprentices were no fun she was glad she didn't mentor herself that would be confusing. she didn't understand why this was so big when becoming a warrior was better. But she was just as excited when she was apprenticed she can't blame him. But he had alot of energy. He was gonna be a tough furball. She would never giveupthough. She got upand walked slowlyover to the aapprentice and wrapped her tail around him to calm him down. She needed him to listen to her not go crazy. It was hard to control apprentices no wonder why leaders took care of some apprentices. Graywing had someone to train also. She wished him good luck. But CrowWing was Cooperative and would be easy to teach.

She looked down at Duskpaw and said "Your first lesson would be to calm down. A warrior must be quiet and deadly. Your gonna explore the territory first and memorize the best places for hunting. Also stay away from the river. Youneed to memorize this territory to if you can do that. You can have the fattest piece in the prey pile. Also I will give you a quiz. so you won't get off easily.". She was enjoying this and hopefully the apprentice would listen to her.

He calmed down as fast a jackrabbit hopping away from a predator. He looked up to Nightstar a bit curious about the river... and why he had to stay away so he asked her in a calm voice, "Why do I have to stay away from the river?" He didn't want to ask but it was best for him to probally know then to do it anyway. He cocked his head slightly awaiting for an answer.

Nightstar was caught off-guard by the question. She tensed abitbecause she didn't want answer. She didn't blame Duskpaw for asking she just didn't want to answer. It brought much destruction and she hatedtalking about it. But the apprentice had the right to know. She answered slowly and calmly "The river has flooded and many lives were lost from all clans...". It brought her much agony tosee every clandestroyed by water...

He tensed slightly wishing he didn't ask but at least he wouldn't get hurt now. he looked up with a smile on his face as he calmly said, "Well when should we start training? Oh, and what should I call you?" He was quite happy to be in a leaders care but being an Apprentice wasn't as fun he had thought. He stood up tall and proud to be in her care. He had never thought that he would ever end up in her care he thought he would be like most Apprentices stuck with people with not as much power or intellect. he pwoudly stood and awaited to be shown around their territory and food sources.

Nightstar knew alot about every cat. She knew this was one hyper furball. He would listen but run around alot. If they have more time today she could take him hunting and show him how to prowl. She knew it was sundown so she didn't understand why take him out now everyone could use a good rest. She looked at the apprentice and sighed. She would have to take him out tomorrow for safety percautions. She said "We will have to go out tomorrow its getting to dark. Also you need a good rest.". If Duskpaw was smart he would listen.

She hoped he would as she slowly stood up. She then turned around and padded slowly to her den to sleep. She was tired after everything thats haappened reccently. Life couldn't get any more worse. She wondered if Starclan caused the flood with all the rain but that would be obsurd. They would never do that to us. She finally got to her den and curled up and fell asleep soundly.

He listened carefully but he wasn't very tired. He snuck out of the her sight once she had went into her den. He walked around the area watching where he stepped and made marks so he can find his way back. the sun had setted as he walked back home. His eyes adjusted to his surroundings and to the dark. he was back home within 5 minutes. He walked into his parents den and curledd up thinking about how hard would it be to become a warrior. He closed his eyes as he drifted asleep. Soundly he breathed with his ear twitching.

He was up early to start his training as he awaited outside his parents den. They were still asleep, he had snuckin out quietly awaiting for Nightstar. He was not excited anymore he was more like yesterday. He was much calmer and silent.

He was no longer simply Crow, but Crow'wing'. His excitement finally let loose as his fur went as far on end as possible as his eyes glowed with pride. When she named his mentor, because he still didn't know the warrior moves yet, he looked to the tom next to him in surprise. Greywing would be his mentor! No wonder Nightstar had sent them to get prey together. Well, at least he knew the tom and he was actually a nice cat. Crowwing had already taken a surprised liking to the tom and was really delighted.

The tom didn't know that he was supposed to touch Greywing's shoulder, but what he did kind of made up for it. Crowwing walked up to the tom and dipped his head, remembering his manners. Cries from the clan raised up calling his name and he couldn't believe why he'd lived by himself before. He'd been missing this life since now. Now he could learn to contribute to Spottedstar and Runningpath's clan. Nighstar had his utmost respect now and he listened as she named an apprentice for her, Duskpaw. He joined in the calling of the name.

The black tom then meowed,"Thank you Nighstar," before turning his attention back towards Greywing. Thank you, Spottedstar and Starclan. As if in reply the voices sighed his name and vanished. Yeah, a bit weird, but not as to Crowwing.

"Well, looks like were stuck together for a while," he meowed with a friendly smile and a shuffle of his paws. Yep this was going to be a great beginning of a new adventure.

Graywing simply just couldn't believe he was going to 'temporarily' mentor CrowWing. This was new and surprising besides the new apprentice. Duskpaw and CrowWing two of the newest members in Shadwoclan. He was looking all around at everyone. Now everyone accepted CrowWing and always would. Graywing was busy in his mind he barely heard CrowWing say 'Well, looks like were stuck together for a while'. He shook his head and looked at CrowWing and said "Yes we are. Looks like we have a new apprentice to.". Then he looked to where the apprentice was standing and saw him sneaking out and Graywing rolled his eyes and muttered 'Apprentices...'.

Nightstar woke the following morning a bit after sunrise. Today was going to be a long day with a apprentice. Like she didn't have enough troubes already. She didn't feel like leaving yet so she decided to lick her pelt. He won't be so hyper today hopefully. She twitched her ears and sighed heavily. She was tired enough from clan troubles and the flood. A apprentice will make it worse but she needed to train him. She had alot to think about and to get done. First is to cover the flood in-case it get bigger. Like create a wall or something. But who knows what will and won't help. She wished she had someone to talk these problems to.

Graywing woke up in a daze. He didn't know what time her fell asleep or how he got here. He didn't mind though and he hoped he didn't wake anyone. He quietly left the den to go see if Nightstar was awake. He needed to talk to her about her apprentice. Hopefully she would listen if she didn't he would tell the apprenticce to be more careful of his actions. Duskpaw was gonna be a real handful. He wouldn't be hyper forever. He was gonna be calm today. But that gave him no reason to sneak out yesterday. He couldn't wait to teach CrowWing today. It seemed like forever last night. He could barely remember anything except the ceremony. But that didn't matter.

Nightstar finished cleaning herself as she got up to stretch. The sun was barely up by the time she was about to leave the den. She quietly walked out into the light. There was a cool breeze for hot weather. She saw Graywing waiting in the clearing. Probably to talk to her about something. She didn't feel like talking right now but she knew he would get her to talk at some point. Then she saw Duskpaw waiting outside the nursery. She was confused he was supposed to be in the apprentices den. She wasn't gonna bother with it though. After looking around camp she quietly jumped down the rocks to talk to Graywing first. She didn't want to but it must be important. When she got to him she asked "Okay whats this about Graywiing?".

Graywing waited patiently in the clearing for Nightstar. She was probably waiting in her den because it was so early. He didn't mind waiting though. He knew Duskpaw was up as well and it bothered him. He didn't know if Nightstar would listen to him with Duskpaw standing there. He was a little irritated but that didn't matter he needed to tell Nightstar about Duskpaw's little walk yesterday. He was glad that wasn't his apprentice. Because if Duskpaw was he would be in so much trouble. Hopefully he would have time before CrowWing came out for training. He was glad to see Nightstar finally walk out of her den and come towards him. He listened to her question with respect and answered "Your apprentice snook out yesterday night when you went in your den. I just thought to let you know.".

Nightstar had alot of respect for the tom and nodded. She would take what he said truthfully. She didn't do it just because the apprentice seemed like that type. Just that Graywing would never lie to her. Although most cats wouldn't lie to her. Soon she looked at where Duskpaw was standing then back at Graywing and dipped her head. She stood up slowly and walked over to the apprentice. Then she said "Did you sneak out yesterday. Also don't lie to me.". She had Graywing see it and truthfully she would trust a warrior over a apprentice.

Duskpaw listened to the crickets as they started to go away and birds started to tweet. He was not hyper,tired, or excited, not even edgy. He felt as if one with the forest. He stared at her den awaiting for her patiently when something caught his eye. It was Greywing, he didn't know much about him but he reconized him for the night he explored around their territory. The sun started to rise slowly.

He watched Nightstar walk out of her den toward Greywing as he got real quit blocked out all sounds but their conversation. Duskpaw heard his name and snuck out. He didn't mind that he was getting tattle-taled on if he really was irritated he would have walked away from everything. But he decided since he is a apprentice he is gonna take his job seriously.

He watched Nightstar walked towards him. He sighed softly not caring what punishment he gets. He remembered how his dad told stories about how he had always gotten introuble and cats just let him be till his master did something. They didn't wanna give up he was just a furious cat to mess with. Even in battles some enemies would back off.

He lifted his ears sitting straight ready for a punishment as she had asked "Did you sneak out yesterday. Also don't lie to me." He didn't look scared or even filled with anger as he answer "Yes, I did but only on are territory." He waited to see what she would do. He decided not to lie since she would probally listen to an adult more then a kid.

((Crow's out of the thread for now. Really have no muse for the thread anymore...Sorry. T.T Plus, he has to have warrior's vigil and I'm planning on making a thread for that just to see if anyone wants to cause trouble with him. If not though, I won't make it. Just letting you know Nighty! ))
