A sound of quick pawsteps was heard, but there was a slight uneveness to them. The strange sound was followed by the appearance of Rainpaw, panting and looking tired from the run. "S-sorry! I got held up, then it took me a while to get out here..." He explained as he caught his breath, frowning as he glanced to Dappledfrost and the others. "A-am I too late...?" He asked sheepishly, seeing some annoyance in his mentor's eyes and his ears drooped. He would never get his full name if he continued like this, and hearing the name Rainpaw being called even when he was much older than other apprentices was starting to irritate him.

MiracleFur blinked when RainPaw came by. She padded over, and pressed her nose against his forehead.

"I'm sure she doesn't mind. What held you up?"

Her head slightly tilted.

"Oh and I'm MiracleFur now, by the way."

She purred.

Rainpaw smiled lightly from her reassurance. "Th-thanks Miraclep-fur..." He responsed, flicking her ear with his tail. He looked to her, then to everyone else. "Well Moonshadow came back to camp and she didn't look well. It turns out, she got her neck stuck in a trap and he paw was sprained. And Dappledfrost had gone on ahead..." At this, he glanced back to his mentor, dipping his head. "Don't worry, I took care of her and handled it like you taught me, Dappledfrost.."

She grinned, looking at DappledFrost, then back at RainPaw.

"You probably did well."

She smiled down at him.

"I have faith in that. You are a smart apprentice, and what I see, so far, of how much I know about you, I could say you learn fast, eh, DappledFrost?"

Dappledfrost flicked her ear. She was definatly annoyed, but she decided not to voice that here. "Yes, he's a quick learner." As long as he stays focused. She smiled at her apprentice. "I'm sure you handled it very well. I'm proud that you took care of the situation instead of panicking." She gave a friendly lick to his ear. "But we really should start heading back. StarClan knows we'll probably be needed soon." Her eyes flicked to Miraclefur. She could guess what Crookedstar had in mind for ThunderClan.

Rainpaw looked down, feeling he let Dappledfrost down. "S-sorry Dappledfrost..." He said quietly, before looking up at her next words. "G-go...?" Did that really mean he didn't get to meet with Starclan? He had missed his chance? He had been waiting on this, hoping they would say something about him earning his full name. Or something about his feelings for Sunpaw...That also meant his long run had been for nothing. But he couldn't argue with Dappledfrost. He nodded, glancing to Miraclefur. "Bye Miraclefur..."
